Made the offer, Rodgers for Fitzgerald. We will see what happens.

no way the guy trades Fitz for Rodgers. I think it'll take Cutler or Romo to get Fitz or Andre JOhnson.

Why not? His best Qb is O'Sullivan. Getting Rodgers is about a 7 point a week upgrade with our scoring. Plus, he has S. Moss riding the bench who he can plug in. The only thing it would actually hurt is his bye weeks at WR but he has a couple of decent back-ups who are servicable during the byes.
and he also knows you need help at WR. Sure he has S. Moss riding the bench, but unless you guys start 2 QB's then he sees that you have a top QB riding the bench. Fitz & Andre Johnson are top tier WR's, and though Rodgers has been good so far, he's a tier or two below Cutler & Romo right now.

This is our fifth year using yahoo for FF. In all five years not one trade has been made. With only eight teams, it's usually just easier/better to pick up FAs to fill in holes. This year is a little different in that a couple of teams are unintentionally stacked at either WR or RB.

Very true. I am willing to deal Cutler for Fitz if need be since I think Rodgers will be just as good fantasy wise. This was just my initial offer.

How about I receive Thomas Jones for Santonio Holmes? Although I don't know the whole situation with Big Ben, either...

He rejected the offer. He wants to wait until next week to see how things pan out for his receivers. I'm betting he's wanting to see if Moss continues to be productive and Johnson starts. Probably also wants to see if Cutler and Rodgers continue their run. We will see if he comes back with any counter offer next week. If he waits too long Colston will be back and I'll have much less need for a quality WR, hopefully.

Who to start this week?

RB Jamal Lewis vs CIN
RB Earnest Graham vs GB
BN Chris Perry vs CLE
BN Tim Hightower vs NYJ
BN Correll Buckhalter vs CHI

So far I'm thinking Lewis and Graham, but Perry is a very interesting pick especially since CIN may get their offense in gear this week against a weak CLE defense.

I get to play two and scoring is standard:

1 point for 10 yards rushing and receiving
6 points for rushing or receiving TD
- points for fumbles

Thoughts?

I'm not a huge Lewis fan. After two seasons of high expectations but abysmal performance I gave up on him. It seems to be all or nothing with him. Not sure about the others though. If Perry is the starter, I would use him in place of Lewis*

Anthony Gonzalez, Ind - on good game, the others not so much

Is it too soon to give up on guys like Braylon and Santonio? Hank Baskett is available, but I don't know if I really want to replace any of my guys with him. Braylon is just ticking me off, and depending on what he does against the Bengals this may be the last shot I give him. I'm concerned that Rothlesburger's shoulder may prevent him from throwing deep to Santonio.

Hold or drop? I don't even think I can use them to get anything good off a trade. As it stands, I'm kicking myself for wasting early draft picks on them.

Honestly, I think a lot of people are having problems at WR. A lot of perenial solid performers are just not getting it done this year. It's only week three so hopefully things will get better. Keep watch for the guys who are emerging threats and try to scoop them up. I just picked up the rookie from NYJ. Not a guy I would start at this point but he looks to have good potential and might make his way in my line-up if Colston doesn't come back when expected or if I can't get another WR through trade.

Edit: Chansi Stuckey is the rookie.

Westbrook will play, therefore Buckhalter is useless....unless you are banking on Westbrook gettign hurt again. I'd pick Lewis or Perry.

How are you so sure he is going to play? The last report that I heard was that he was a not a full paticipant at practice and is not a definite play on Sunday.

What do you mean? If you have a player on a bye week, you need to fill his roster spot. If you can't fill a roster spot then you forfeit any points that position would gain you.

What do you mean? If the player is unavailable you'll have to replace him in the lineup with players on your bench. Usually this means not as many points (assuming you are in a deep league) though you'd never know if someone guy who's normally not the most optimal player to start would bust out with a big game (like Ronnie Brown did last week  )

Against that type of D, he better play. It depends on wher eyou look and how the media spins it I guess. From what I just read, it looks like he has been downgraded to an on game day decision. If you do not want to risk too much, start neither and pick someone off the wire.

I saw my opponent starting him. I thought I had the week in the bag. I check nest morning and boom....he got the 41 ponts he need to beat me from Ronnie Brown.

You have to go with LT. Turner has had two big games against two terrible teams and a bad week against a decent TB team. CAR is a good team so I don't foresee huge numbers.

I benched LT last week because I didn't want to take the chance of him having limited playing time. As I found out, big mistake. Luckily my opponent had Westbrook and Parker so I was able to get the win.

I'd take Brees over Edwards.

7 players - 6 spots (2 WR, 2 RB, 2 Flex).. what would you do?

WR Torry Holt vs. Buffalo
WR Isaac Bruce vs. NO
RB Frank Gore vs. NO
RB Marshawn Lynch vs. St Louis
WR Chris Chambers vs. Oakland
RB Darren Sproles vs. Oakland
WR Chad Johnson vs. Cleveland

on Matchups alone I'd sit Torry Holt... but I don't know people are trying to convince me to sit sproles - on the account that he is a backup. However - if they want to be cautious with LT vs. Oakland Sproles could get a lot of touches... Also with Isaac Bruce the thing is that o'sullivan spreads the ball ALOT... also Holt is tough b/c green is now QBing...

What do you think?

I would sit Holt or Sproles. My gut feel is that LT is doing better and Sproles is going to get limited time.
