So Plax's suspension leaves me in a bit of a bind for week 5, meaning I need to pick up another WR.

I swooped up Matt Jones and Lance Moore, but just noticed that Deion Branch is also available.

Should I drop Jones or Moore for Branch, or do they all pan out about the same?

Well someone decided to drop Roy Williams in my 12 person league - the week after his Bye no less. I picked him up in a heartbeat. My WRs are now:

Randy Moss
Fitzgerald
Calvin Johnson
Roy Williams.

Given that Randy Moss has been so stellar this year, I might have to start Roy Williams over him in some up and coming games. Thoughts?

Branch is Seatle's top WR, when he plays. Usually puts up solid numbers. That said, Moore might get more work in NO but Brees spreads the ball around pretty good so he might not duplicate his last two weeks. And Jones looks like he will get about 5 catches a game for 50-80 yards and most likely no TDs. Personally I like Branch but he may be limited in his first game back.

I'd hold off until I figure out what Detroit is going to do coaching wise. They may completely kill the passing game and just stick to the run. If they were smart they'd make better use of that 6'5" freak they drafted last year and throw the ball his way more often and let him make plays with his size and speed.

I have Willie Parker but in a press conference Tomlin said he would not play this week...So I'm trying to trade this guy for Steve Slaton (fred taylor, michael pittman, or tory holt is what im offering not all 3 tho)...Do you guys think Peyton is gonna recover from his slump or should I try and trade him for a RB/WR combo that would get me more points? My backup QB is JT O'Sullivan

if you need the help at RB possibly, but Parker is out for only another week. When he comes back I don't see Moore having much value.

I'd rather grab Deuce McCallister if he's available. he's going to get most of the carries for the rest of the year (as long as his knees hold up)

I think Peyton's slump is self induced. The off-season surgery is taking its toll on his pysche. If I'm right, then it will be very difficult to put a time table on his return. Having said that, he has all the weapons he needs to recover quickly so I would be surprised if it lasts too much longer.

No - Pittsburgh has so many injuries on the offensive side of the ball. Their line has 3 starters out. No running back will be able to do well especially not against Jacksonville.

I picked up Ahman Green yesterday because I read that he will have some playing time this week; but I doubt he'd get many carries.

So this morning I dropped him, and I picked up Najeh Davenport and Gary Russell, both of which the Steelers signed to make up for their 3 RB's being injured

so my question is, who will start for the steelers? Gary Russell, Najeh Davenport, or someone else?

Moore looks like he'll start while Williams will be a backup. I've been holding onto Williams hoping he gets more touches if Ronnie Brown tweaks that knee. I just added Moore and will probably start him.

Here's my problem...Torry Holt is probably my favorite athlete/person in the history of sports. Yeah, crazy mancrush, college bias, watching the guy work his magic before he was ever drafted sort of thing. But, he's also really good... of course, the Rams are terrible. His stats have sucked so far, though things may change with new head coach and the imminent return of Bulger. Then again, the Rams O-line blows. This guy originally offered me Bryan Thomas (DE NYJ), a middle of the road DE that I turned down quickly. Of course, someone must have clued him in to my mancrush on Torry Holt (kind of a running joke in our league over the last 5 years, someone invariably drafts Holt before I get a chance to, I bitch and moan--he's always drafted "too soon," I've only been able to draft him once, and did acquire him in trade another year; though, I'm not sure who this manager is and if he's aware of the Holt thing)

Anyway, I think Holt has a bit of an upside, and could seriously improve my WR corps. Well, he certainly couldn't be worse than Austin, right? And my RB corps seems to be getting deeper and deeper every week: With the exception of Addai and Brown, all others were picked up in Free Agency. Slaton is actually my most consistent RB so far and it doesn't seem like he'll slow down anytime soon. I picked up M'Clain last week to fill in a hole, and it looks like he'll remain a goal line option, or at least decent production for 3/4 or spot start RB. I picked up Sproles after his monster week, when it seemed Tomlinson was quite doubtful. looking like a bust so far, but I think he still has potential.

so...what do I do, oh FF gurus of AT? I'm thinking to offer M'Clain instead, as the future of both he and Holt seem a bit sketchy. their production is pretty much equal at this point, though of course we all know that Holt is the better and far more proven player. I'm thinking I may miss out on one of those buy low opportunities for Holt, sell high for Slaton sort of things...but it really looks like a push without the benefit of hindsight.

Now that Palmer is out today he asked for me to reverse the trade. I thought he was joking and rejected the trade. Now he's posted a Commissioner's Note:

Everyone I need your vote on the trade that was completed this week between my team (Parcell's Jap Plays) and Yzzimians.

I had proposed the trade because I was desperate for a QB and overpaid a bit to get one. The trade was slightly in the advantage of Yzzim but I was OK with it as I was getting the QB I needed.

It was reported today that Palmer would miss todays game and quite possibly more with an injury. The main reason for makeing the trade was for the QB. The trade now looks like Burress/Smith for B.Edwards which is clearly one sided.

I am putting the trade up to a vote to the owners here. If you feel it is too one sided then I can reverse the trade and the players will be returned to their rosters. I would need a majority vote (7) to overturn the deal.

Now I know some of you may say tough crap - injuries happen and whatnot. If that is the case then I would urge that maybe the two owners can work out another deal to compensate for the QB being hurt. Maybe trade Burress back in return for another WR or something.

I will not make any changes until the league decides. I will give it until 11:30pm Saturday next week to make the decision.

Now I don't play FF much, this is my second year playing. Is this normal? It doesn't seem fair, IMO.

Whoever the commish is sounds like a retard. Its a risk you take in FF. Too F'n bad on his part. I would not play in the league anymore if he is going to be like that. If he forces his hand, trade all your star players to his closest rival and drop the league. Thats a bunch of bullshit, without a doubt.
