D/ST: New England

Bench: Donald Driver, Lendale White, Reggie Brown, Philip Rivers

Trade I was offered:

GIVE UP: Philip Rivers, Edgerrin James, Plaxico Burress, Lendale White

I've really been looking to upgrade the RB spot, so CP would be a nice addition. Losing Plax would hurt, but Driver/Holt should be a serviceable combo going forward. What do you guys think?

You're giving up 2 RBs? Doesn't White have 5 TDs? He's still the Titan's goalline RB. I wouldn't do it.

i would not...plaxico is great at WR he'll get so many TDs and LJ is due to breakout any time so I think you're fine at RB spot

Im a strong 4-1 in two of my three leagues. I should be 5-0 in both leagues, but one of them I lost by half a point, the other I played my absolute worst game while my opponent played his absolute best. And he still barely beat me. Bottom line, I'm making the playoffs in both leagues no problem.

So far I've been rolling with whichever defense has a good matchup, but an owner has both the NY Giants and Baltimore defenses and he's willing to take Maroney for one. I have decent RB depth (Gore, Forte, Chris Johnson, Hightower, Kev Smith). Wouldn't mind a top defense I don't have to worry about for the rest of the year.

things I've been thinking about with both teams (fantasy playoffs in bold)

NY Giants - arguably best team in football, but they play in a tough division and have yet to play the Eagles & Cowboys twice.
remaining schedule - @CLE, SF, @PITT, DAL, @PHI, BAL, @AZ, @WAS, PHI, @DAL, CAR, @MIN

Baltimore - perennially tough defense with a not so good offense. this means they will be on the field alot more, possibly creating more opportunities for sacks/turnovers?
remaining schedule - @IND, @MIA, OAK, @CLE, @HOU, @NYG, PHI, @CIN, WAS, PITT, @DAL, JAX

who would you roll with?

Definitely unload loser Maroney for one of those defenses. Either one. I would pick the Giants. The Ravens have a great defense and would be a good choice but the more they're on the field the more opportunities other teams have to score on them, gain yards on them, etc. The Giants are a complete team, go with them.

trade offer accepted. Maroney for NY Giants

here's another question for you guys. which QB would you rather have for the rest of the year? Eli or Favre? I can package one of them with Matt Forte and try to trade them to a QB starved team and possibly upgrade at RB. Possibilities are SJax, Addai, Portis, Jacobs.

Eli is a solid consistent QB. However, Favre may score me more points since their running game is terrible and they'd be forced to throw alot more. But not so sure Favre can keep it up. It's only been 4 weeks.

Just traded Randy Moss, Roy Williams and Kurt Warner for Steve Slayton and Marques Colston.

I gave Moss, Williams and Warner

I got Slayton and Colston.

I had two fantasy QB studs (Cutler and Warner) and four great WRs (Fitzgerald, Moss, Calvin Johnson and Roy Williams).

I was constantly leaving points on the bench because I could only start 1 QB and 3 WRs. Needed RB help and wanted to get value for my extra QB and WR.

I think I did that. What are your thoughts?

How quickly we forget. Favre is an iron man and has played something like 17 seasons of games straight. He plays for a team that is constantly throwing and will not be running much at the best of times.

Having said that the question is still a tough one to answer. I would say that since they are going to be so tough to differentiate, let the person you are trading with choose.

I've had Orton on my bench since the beginning of the season in two of my three leagues. I'm actually starting him over Peyton in one league this week.

Week 6 help -
For RB, I'm thinking of benching Slaton even though he's scored really well the past couple of weeks because of the match-up with Miami. So I?m leaning towards Jones-Drew and either Buckhalter or Westbrook whoever gets to start for PHI.

RB
Buckhalter, Correll @ SF
Westbrook, Brian @ SF
Jones-Drew, Maurice @ DEN
Slaton, Steve @ MIA

I?m mixed here, my WR is section is weak and have been causing me games, the two game I?ve lost were close and both came down to my WRs. Is Welker and Bryant worth the start?

WR
Johnson, Calvin @ MIN
White, Roddy @ CHI
Welker, Wes @ SD
Bryant, Antonio @ CAR

Looking for thoughts on my starting QB situation. I currently have Peyton starting, but this year he has been pretty average to slightly above. My bench QB is Rivers and he has been good except for one week. My concern is that Peyton is going to pull out a 3-4 TD, 375 yd. day soon and it will probably be the week I bench him. However, this week the Colts play the Ravens. Is this the week I finally bench Mr. Manning? Thoughts?

I'll put this up again.

I have Reggie Wayne, Terrel Owens, T.J. Housh, Mushin Muhammed.

I need a RB. He needs a WR.

He has Brandon Jacobs, Chris Perry, All Day AP, and Michael Turner.

He proposed Jacobs for Wayne. I'm thinking I could possibly get Turner since their division isn't nearly as tough as the Giants' division. Any thoughts if this is a fair trade or what I should do? Thanks.

strangely enough, the only manning I see throwing 300+ this week yards is the younger one. That said, Eli easily had a chance to do it last week, but they did not want to run the score. The older one has 1 really great WR. The other great WR is being sued...perhaps that is why is has done barely anythign of late.

In short.....300+ yards.....not this week with peyton.

If the Ravens have a weakness on defense, it is their ability to stop the long ball. If the Colts have a weakness on offense, it is their offense line's ability to block.

This will be a good matchup. One of two things will happen:

1) The colts will blow the ravens out.
2) It will be a very low scoring game with few to no TDs.

I tend to believe it will be #2. I would look elsewhere.

Belicheat isn't going to get a quarterback so Moss's numbers are going to suck in comparison to last year.
Roy Williams has been overrated since he got drafted.
Warner's blindside just scares me...great for fantasy stats though.

Indy's line seems to be the problem here. Their defense is no better than it has been in the past - so I think they will be playing catchup most of the time = throwing a lot. I think Addai's value has taken a big hit.

It depends on how bad you think Boldin's injury is. There is talk that he might be back next week - there is also talk that he might not be.

Portis has been amazing this year and there is no sign he will be letting up.

If I were giving up Addai and Boldin, I would probably do it.

I was offered Boldin and Jones-Drew for Forte and Gage. Your thoughts? My main concern is if Boldin will bounce back after his injury. Jones-Drew has big play potential but he's been pretty quiet this year.

I currently have Gore, Slaton and Hightower for RBs. My WRs consist of Randy Moss, Roddy White, Bobby Engram, Justin Gage, and Robert Meachem.

League format is 2 x RB and 3 X WR

That's the thing. Boldin has a bye week next week... so he'll get 2 weeks off from what I remember.

Addai's value has taken a hit, but I think he can turn it up.

I'm pretty thin on the WR

My W/R's

Lee Evans
Isaac Bruce
Chad Johnson
Hank Baskett

If Ocho was atleast playing like 75-80% of himself, i wouldn't have a problem since Lee Evans is having a pretty good season thus far.

But I think I need to make some adjustments..

Or my other option is

Reggie Wayne + Calvin Johnson for Portis.
