Just traded Randy Moss, Roy Williams and Kurt Warner for Steve Slayton and Marques Colston.
I gave Moss, Williams and Warner
I got Slayton and Colston.
I had two fantasy QB studs (Cutler and Warner) and four great WRs (Fitzgerald, Moss, Calvin Johnson and Roy Williams).
I was constantly leaving points on the bench because I could only start 1 QB and 3 WRs. Needed RB help and wanted to get value for my extra QB and WR.
I think I did that. What are your thoughts?
No one has any thoughts? Everyone else I have talked to thinks I got worked.
Belicheat isn't going to get a quarterback so Moss's numbers are going to suck in comparison to last year.
Roy Williams has been overrated since he got drafted.
Warner's blindside just scares me...great for fantasy stats though.
I agree with you. In addition I have watched a few of Moss's games this year and he doesn't seem to be working as hard as last year. It is as though he knows his chances of getting the ball are much smaller than last year.
The best case scenario is that Williams is traded to a team that has some offense. Right now Calvin Johnson seems to be the goto guy in the red zone. However that is with Kitna as QB - it still remains to be seen what happens when one of his backups gets the opportunity in the red zone.
Warner has been great this year and I don't see it changing.
This trade has left me with 3 top 10 WRs (Larry Fitzgerald, Calvin Johnson and Marques Colston), a good backup WR (Breaston's value is high until Boldin comes back), a top 3 fantasy QB (Cutler), a top performing RB (Slayton - hoping he keeps it up) with two other starting RBs (Earnest Graham, Jamal Lewis) and a bunch of scrub RBs (Dunn, Hightower, Buckhalter).
Kevin Curtis is also available on the wire and I think I will be able to pick him up once the trade goes through and frees up a roster spot.
I think this was a good trade for both teams (he got the better of it), but I still improved.
