Doesnt matter, I still wouldnt touch any Detroit player with a 10 foot stick.

This would have been a perfect answer for a question like: "What size pole would you use to touch Detroit players?". However, it is a crappy answer for the question I asked - care to try again?

OK then.....

It helps him because now he is definitely the #1 WR option in Detroit.

It hurts him because now he is going to be defended as the #1 (And only viable) WR option in Detroit.

So it is a moot point, Detroit still sucks.

Really? Correll had an unbelievable game. With Westbrook having broken ribs, I doubt they will heal before the end of the year. I believe Westbrook's starts will be spotty and short because of the pain and the potential for internal damage if they use pain killers.

Right now Correll is the 1st or 2nd best back I have (depending on how you value Slaton).

Yeah, but once Westbrook returns, he's pretty much a bench rider. They are off this week, which means you might get one more week of him starting. You were going to get Slaton's backup. Do you really want 2 guys just taking up space?

I'm not saying he's going to go for it, but I would put it out there, and see.

I have CJ, and even though he's the primary WR with Kitna on IR he's no more than a situational (playing a team with a shit defense) play as a flex or WR3.

Does anyone know the status of Willie Parker? Because I picked up Dominic Rhodes because Joseph Addai has a torn hamstring just in case Willie can't play...

Willie practiced Monday, and they think he will play Sunday.

Willie - tweaked his knee today by stepping in a hole on the practice field. While he was likely to play this week before he re-injured his knee - he is not likely to play any more.

Just traded:

Gave up:
Calvin Johnson
Steve Breaston
Warrick Dunn

Got:
Willie Parker
Dallas Clark

I needed a TE. I have Earnest Graham so Dunn was nothing more than insurance for me. Steve Breaston is likely no more than a 3rd string WR (assuming the reports of Boldin's return next weekend are true).

I think I got a very good deal. I still have Larry Fitzgerald, Marques Colston and Kevin Curtis as WR. I picked up Gage off the wire.

Thoughts?

PS - I now have 4 starting RBs in Steve Slaton, Jamal Lewis, Earnest Graham and Willie Parker. The guy who has Adrian Peterson was looking to trade 2 starting RBs for AP. I have talked to him about doing this now and he is a little pissy because he wanted Parker in the trade and I offered a better deal. I think he may still come around since he has three backs Cendric Benson, Mcallister and DeAngelo Williams who are spotty starters and hard to count on.

Guys; #1 person in the league wants to trade DeSean Jackson for Eli Manning.

I'm gonna pass for the following reasons:
1. If Brees goes down, Manning was my backup. If I trade I'm pretty hosed if something happens to brees.
2. Jackson was a dominant WR because Curtis/Brown are out. Phi has a 2 week break, and they're "supposedly" going to be healthy again in time for the 10/26 game
3. Manning gives him a good FF option, which I don't want, since he is #1 in the league right now. He has McNabb + Schaub on his team.

My current WR's are...

Ike Hilliard
Kevin Walter

Lance Moore
Steve Breaston
Eddie Royal
Wes Welker

LMK what you guys think. (how is curtis anyway? He's available as an FA)

I would do the trade. You need more WR depth, especially since Colston and Boldin will be back on their respective teams soon. DeSean Jackson is having a great rookie campaign. I think you should play the odds and do the trade.

try to find another team with a bad QB situation and package Eli in a deal to get a better WR than DeSean Jackson. you really need WR help.

and with those WR's i'd pick up Kevin Curtis ASAP

I agree with PaulNEPats. Boldin should be back next week after the BYE. This should really hurt Breaston's value. Colston is back this week and will very soon significantly affect Moore's value. Shockey is also due back sooner than later and will even further affect Moore's value.

Keeping two good fantasy QBs on your team makes little sense. Trade the weaker of the two and get as much value as you can.

Pickup Kevin Curtis - he's #1 receiver (maybe #2 behind Westbrook or Buckhalter).

Look at Joey Galloway - returning from injury soon
Look at Justin Gage - returning from injury soon
Look at Rasheid Davis - With Lloyd likely not playing again this week - becomes #1 receiver
Look at Sidney Rice - Coming back from injury soon.
Look at Booby Wade - Good until Rice comes back.

These are all reasonable receivers who can add some value to your team given your current receiving corp.

Any other thoughts? Specifically,

1) Will Parker's injury sideline him for an extended period?
2) When he finally returns, will he have much value?
3) Any ideas why Clark has been so bad this year? Can he turn it around?

Krunchykromes week 7 pickups: (for those in desperate positions only )

RB:

Chiefs-Kolby Smith
Chiefs:Jammal Charles
Why: Larry johnson is unjured, and these two will get plenty of carries, since Kansas City can't pass

Steelers: Medelwe Moore
Why: Willie Parker is out again, Moore will play

Redskins: Shaun Alexander
Why: Portis may not play; he's hasnt been in practice lately

Colts: Dominique Rhodes
Why: Addai is out

In the two leagues I'm in, I've picked up and started Rhodes, and Kolby Smith. I have Shaun Alexander sitting on my bench; I'm waiting for confirmation that Portis will not play.

Yup, I have the misfortune of carrying LJ in my team. KC backs are going to end up with lines like 10 carries, 21 yards because their offense won't be on the field long enough. I picked up Pittman last week and I'll prob use him again this week.

1) Parker will probably be out 1-2 weeks.
2) Of course
3) Clark has been bad because Manning has been bad. Peyton will turn his game around (like he did against Baltimore) which means more completions, more yardage, and more TDs for his receivers.

I've been offered Calvin Johnson, Reggie Brown, and Ronnie Brown for Randy Moss and Matt Forte.

I'm pretty weak at WR at the moment (Randy Moss, Roddy White, Justin Gage, Ike Hilliard, Bobby Ingram). I have Gore, Forte, Slaton, Larry Johnson, and Hightower at RB. I'm bleeding pretty badly at WR since Randy is a complete bust (stupid Tom Brady). Roddy has really stepped up this season but I need more consistency at WR. Do you think Calvin has it in him, even after Roy being traded?

We start 3 WRs.

No - not with a backup QB.

With Forte and Moss on the table, you should go after a better WR (especially if that is what you want to trade for). I would offer Moss and Forte and go after only one player and make it a top-notch receiver (Fitzgerald, Marshall, Owens, Andre Johnson, etc....).

If you find a team that needs a RB, they will have a hard time turning down your offer.

Any news on Kellen Winslow's testi...err..."undisclosed illness"? I'm thinking I should leave Greg Olsen in my TE slot, even if his, I mean he, is recovered. Yeah.

The first one is interesting and depending on my team, I might take that.

The second one I would probably not take. Reggie Wayne is an upgrade over Randy Moss (quite a large one when all things are considered).

LenDale White will get a lot of the red zone carries but won't get much yardage (except for injury) and depending on your scoring system might be a bit of a push with Forte over the season.

I have Warner who starts on my team 9/10 times. I plan to start Steve Slaton over White most weeks. I typically have Slaton sitting on the bench with Gore/Forte. I also have LJ, Jamaal Charles (his backup), and Tim Hightower. We'll see if either guy takes the offer.

Of course I am not giving Forte a ton of value and may be giving White too much.
