sell high on Forte now. I'm regretting holding onto him this long. His YPC over the last few games has been horrible and he gets tons of carries. strong candidate for hitting the proverbial 'rookie wall'.

i'd go with brett, because both coles and cotchery have been good targets for him...so the guy who isn't covered by asomaugh should be catchin the deepballs...

With Westbrooke on bye, I need better RB. I have Pittmman and Julius Jones I hope jones shows up. he hasnt the past two games.

Here are my starting WR...

Plaxico Burress
Marvin Harrison
Andre Johnson

I am thinking about replacing Harrison with Eddie Royal.

Harrison vs an aged and trouble GB secondary.

or

Royal against a very troubled NE secondary.

Also..after last weeks performance, Eli looked like old ELI...maybe its time to switch back to Delhomme? eli is goinng against SF, though......where does the NO secondary rank?

Harrison only had one big week so far (last week). His previous weeks, he put up putrid fantasy numbers. He's a risky start right now but perhaps he is heating up and will display his old form for the rest of the season.

Which 2 RBs to start? Forte, LT, Thomas Jones, Mewelde Moore, and Hightower (bye).

Also, I need some depth at WR - whom do you think I should try to deal away?

Dude - you really only have two RBs.

Moore is only good until Parker comes back.

Hightower is going to be good for 8-10 TDs this year. Good luck playing him only the weeks he scores. He needs the Edge to go down to have any consistent value.

Thomas Jones is going to be hit and miss all year. The jets are going to be among the league's leading scoring teams, but it won't be from running it. He will probably have some breakout games, but he will also have some games where he will have little to no value. Again good luck only playing him the games where he scores a lot.

If you can get any value on any of these guys, then go for it.

I would not trade Forte given your situation at RB unless you can get a better RB back.

I would not trade LT period. No one is going to give you sufficient value to match his upside. He plays for a great offensive team that can keep the defenses honest through the air or on the ground.

hey Garet Jax, great replies ... mind taking a look at my team? Any suggestions on who I should trade away to bolster my team?
This week is going to be tough as I have four guys on bye. I'm hoping Westbrook can return next week and I can dump Buckhalter.

Rivers, Philip QB SD
Slaton, Steve RB HOU
Ward, Derrick RB NYG
Johnson, Calvin WR DET
Moss, Randy WR NE
Welker, Wes WR NE
Witten, Jason TE DAL
Longwell, Ryan K MIN
Chargers DST

Anderson, Derek QB CLE
Buckhalter, Correll RB PHI
Jones-Drew, Maurice RB JAC
Westbrook, Brian RB PHI
White, Roddy WR ATL

I'm assuming you start

1 QB
2 RB
3 WRs
1 TE
1 K
1 DEF

What strikes me first is that you have a very good team. You are weakest in WRs, but are strongest in RBs where it is most difficult to have consistent strength.

Top 5-10 fantasy QB
3.5 Good RBs
1.5-2 Good WR
Great TE

If I were you I would try to bolster my WRs through a trade with a RB. I would keep Roddy White and try to trade Moss or Johnson in a package deal with Ware and/or Buckhalter and /or Westbrook for a top notch WR or a couple good ones. Do not accept a trade for one run of the mill WR. In my league Gage, Galloway and Wade are all on the waiver wire. I also picked up Kevin curtis from there. Make sure you get a WR who will not ever be on the waiver wire. Fitzgerald, Marshall, Wayne + a handful of others for example.

I might even consider trading Buckhalter and Westbrook together in one deal. Here's my thinking. The problem with Buckhalter is that he has so much value if Westbrook is not playing and the problem with Westbrook is that his injury (broken ribs) takes so long to properly repair. Ribs can't be immobilized and they can't be splinted. The best you can do is wrap them and try to prevent movements that re-injure or cause pain. It will be very easy to re-injure them especially with the life of an NFL RB. The main problem here is that Westbrook (and therefore Buckhalter) will be very hard to predict this year. As long as the injury is active, who starts, who gets the goaline runs who get the most action will be exceedingly difficult to predict. I think it will be rare for a Westbrook to outright sit out, but I also think it will be rare for him to play the lion's share of the downs. With your RBs, you can't afford to play both Westbrook and Buckhalter because doing so means sitting Jones-Drew, Slaton and Ward. It all adds up to unpredicability and leaving points on the bench.

OK guys, my 3 for 2 trade just went through freeing up a much needed roster spot. I am short a playing WR this week (because of so many byes) and wanted some opinions on who to pickup

Here is a listy of WW WR sorted by fantasy points so far this year:
Brandon Stokley
Robert Meachem
Brandon Lloyd
Greg Camarillo
Bobby Wade
Antonio Bryant
Amani Toomer
Domenik Hixon
Michael Jenkins
Arnaz Battle
Justin Gage
Nate Washington
Josh Reed
Jordy Nelson
Donnie Avery
Johnnie Lee Higgins
Steve Smith
Greg Lewis
Sinorice Moss
David Patten
Mark Clayton
Roscoe Parrish
Harry Douglas
Antonio Chatman
Reggie Brown

Here is a list of WW WR sorted by their poriginal projected rankings:
Joey Galloway
Javon Walker
Reggie Brown
D.J. Hackett
Jerry Porter
Reggie Williams
Donte' Stallworth
Drew Bennett
Ted Ginn Jr.
Sidney Rice
Justin Gage
Mark Clayton

Right now I'm leaning towards Toomer, Rice, Wade, Galloway or Camarillo. If Galloway were definitely playing, I wlould pick him up in a heartbeat, but he is a game-time decision and also a late game so if he doesn't play I will miss a WR start.

Thoughts?

With Chris Chambers out, LT still hurting, Gates still hurting, I picked up Malcolm Floyd who is now the #2 receiver in SD behind Jackson.

I didn't want to risk running a WR in Galloway who wasn't going to play. I already am running Rashied Davis from Chicago and Marques Colston from NO. I can't afford to give up anymore WR points.

Can I improve my WR position this week from any of the scrubs on the WW?

Thoughts?

Need to decide on 2 WR's to start this week, as L Fitzgerald is on a bye week.

T. O.
Roy Williams
Bernard Berrian

Any advice?

I don't think you can make an improvement at WR for this week, not anymore than you already did. Getting Floyd is a bit of a gamble, but I think that was your best option. I would also take a chance on Galloway. It won't help you this week, but if you take out their game with Dallas, he has 5 nice matchups coming. I was going to go after him myself, but I forgot to put it in Friday, and it had to be in before 5.

How can you not start Berrian? I have him, and he's been on fire over the last 2 weeks. When you factor in the fact that he's going up against his old team, it just gets better.

You can flip a coin on the other 2. Brad is no Romo.

Another reason to start Berrian: The whole Bears secondary is hurt, and only one of them may play. The others are out for the week.

ok....The ELI train is done. 150 yds and only 1 td...against 49ers????

Kyle Orton looks better than him now (ALMOST 300 YARDS!!)

I should not have lost faith in Delhomme.

I got Orton riding the pine because he was playing my Vikes.:disgust:
I'm not worried though, Cassel will make up for it.
