I do that all the time.

RB D. McFadden
TE C. Cooley
W/R B. Berrian
K S. Graham
DE San Diego

I'm actually in need of a backup back. Which of those WRs should I drop for Rudi Johnson (he's prob about the best of the bunch in the FA list). Curtis is hurt but I think he'll have value once he returns back in mid season or so. I think Stallworth is the odd man out of the 3 or Patten...

I've made the mistake of taking Stallworth twice in the past couple of years. He ended up being dud both times. I am no football expert though.

I was under the impression that Fargas was still #1 in OAK. Did McFadden do something in pre-season to change that?

Anyone care to evaluate my team? 10 person league:

---------------------------------
QB: Carson Palmer
RB: Larry Johnson
RB: Brandon Jacobs
RB/WR: Greg Jennings
WR: Randy Moss
WR: Plaxico Burress
TE: Antonio Gates
DEF: Seahawks
K: Nate Kaeding

B: Rashard Mendenhall
B: DeAngelo Williams
B: Eli Manning
B Reggie Brown
B Aaron Rodgers
B: Javon Walker
B: Kevin Boss

--------------------------------

My RB's could end up being pretty bad. Hopefully at least one of them has a good year. I think my WR's can make up for a little slack there.

Im debating who to start between Larry Johnson, Rashard Mendenhall, and Greg Jennings.

Everyone seems to think DMac will eventually become the starter.

He's pretty much my sleeper and I believe Oakland is going to do 50/50- between the two and whoever busts out will get the majority carries.

Bump

Nothing I know of for free. Yahoo! has a stat tracker that will provide real time points of your team and others in your league for matchup tracking. But it's $10 (or was at one time). It's like $.60 a week once you break it down over the course of a season.

StatTracker is free for the season if you open a Revolution MoneyExchange account (Paypal competitor). Last season at about week 4 there was a similar offer for signing up for Coke Rewards.

There are 3rd party tools to track Yahoo! leagues. A popular one is StatFink - it's on SourceForge. Not certain that it's still being kept current, but it worked fairly well for me in the past. It is a server-side tool, though, which means you'll need a machine with SQL/PHP.

I've got to wonder, though, how long Yahoo! intends to hold out. Most of the other services have gone to realtime scoring for free.

Not bad. I'd be starting Forte over Ronnie Brown, until you see how they divide the carries between him and Sticky Ricky.

In 2 leagues, 1 opponent has LT and both have Plexico "the redskins don't know what coverage is" Burress.

LOL...that's funny. I was amazed at how the Giants could run the same play twice in a row! Who do you have?

Uh...not good?

Fred Taylor will lose more touches this year to Jones-Drew. Torry Holt is old and sucky. Lee Evans was downright terrible last season. I'm cool with Manning, Gates, and Parker.

Honestly I'd try to trade Manning for #1 receiver who is a mid-low #2/high #3 fantasy guy (Roddy White, Chris Chambers, etc.), and a #1 back of the same #2/#3 fantasy stature. (Jamal Lewis, Larry Johnson, etc.).

Grab another QB off of waivers. Kurt Warner maybe if he's around in your league.

I am in an elimination league where you can you any player your want each week, but each player can only be used once the entire season. So, it seems like it would be good to have weekly projections for 2008 by player, so you could guess the best week to play them. I wanted to have fun with statistics, but I'm not very serious about it. I can't find any sites that have this kind of player-level weekly projections that don't seem to cost $40 or more. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Just join a free Yahoo league and use their player search capability. You can search by weekly projections.

My team:

QB: P. Manning
RB1: A. Peterson (MIN)
RB2: R. Bush
WR1: B Edwards
WR2: A. Boldin

FL: D. McFadden
D: SEA
K: S. Gostkowski

BENCH:
J. Gaffney
D. Garrard
C. Johnson (TEN)
R. Rice
R. Williams (DET)
S. Young

I can't claim any credit for the draft. Just doing a facebook league and it was autodrafted for me. I picked up jabar off waivers, the only real work i did.

My Team:

QB: Ben Roethlisberger
RB: Frank Gore
RB: Laurence Maroney
WR: Randy Moss
WR: Roddy White
WR/TE: Anthony Gonzalez
TE: Antonio Gates
D/ST: Giants
K: Neil Rackers

Bench
Larry Johnson
Courtney Taylor (2nd WR Seahawks)
Matt Forte
Brandon Stokley
Kurt Warner
Donte' Stallworth
Todd Heap
Cardinals D/ST
Justin Fargas

I'm trying to decide if I should start Maroney or Larry, Forte, or Fargas for my #2 RB??? I'm leaning towards Maroney right now.
I'm also trying to decide who my #3 WR should be - Taylor or Anthony Gonzalez

Larry Johnson is going to get a SHITLOAD of carriers. Do it. Maroney never seems to get the ball much, as talented as he is.
