Allow pics in signatures?

True, but at least you have the option to disable them as well as avatar images (which you couldn't do under fusetalk).

Is there a way to make it so if someone posts a picture in a thread it will display a link for the picture or showing that there is supposed to be a picture there instead of it just not showing anything at all?

It would be nice to have the option to look at a picture in a thread.

It would be nice to have the option to look at a picture in a thread.

I believe there is a Greasemonkey script for this, but not by default, and not for Chrome/IE/Safari users I'd rather have links to images but I'll be leaving inline images on if that's not possible, but I feel bad for people who can't leave inline images on because of work.

I really hope people don't abuse the img tag, but let's face it, it's going to end up looking like every other OT forum on the internet.

That, but as I recall, in 1998, a lot of forums also had that threaded view where you had to click on each post individually. I guess everyone had such a slow connection they'd never be able to handle loading every post in a thread.

There are still a few forums like that... whenever I go to one... ugh.

Nothing makes a forum look more horrendous than pics in sigs.

I would say OK to pics in sigs if the pics could be disabled while still leaving the sig text.

Right now I have avatars and inline pics turned off and everything is nice and speedy with a similar feel to the old FT forums. :beer;
