According to a driver, he was traveling on I-4 when another driver showed a gun in what he told police was a road rage incident.

The victim, identified as 36-year-old Richard Coles, then said during the altercation he accidentally shot himself in the leg.

I don't know - it seems vaguely written, and seems to suggest that the victim, identified by name, is the driver who SAW the handgun get pulled. He would have been the victim of road rage, not necessarily a victim of injury.

I think it all comes down to determining if the sole name identified in the article was shot or not.


... okay, it looks like that's the name of the guy who was indeed shot. But not the guy who first pulled the first handgun.
There was a second handgun, that one of the driver who had a gun pulled on him. After seeing the first handgun, it was in the process of grabbing his own handgun that he caused it to fire
