alpha
if the board has the 4 holes around the socket, then it will work
if there is enough clearance around the socket, it should fit quite easily as well, if its cramped then it will take a bit of patience
I believe my boss at work recently bought a Thermaltake Volcano something for his new Athlon box and it is amazingly loud. I don't think he enabled RPM monitoring on it so it always runs at max speed but my Alpha 8045 with a Panaflo L1A on it is pretty much inaudible over the ambient noise in my room...And the Alpha heatsinks are just great if your motherboard has the screw mounts.
You can fit any 80x80x25 fan to the 8045 to suit your cooling needs. In fact, most places sell it w/out a HSF. If you REALLY don't care about noise...put this MONSTER :Q :Q :Q in.
