Overall, BMI is not a # worth calculating unless you're a statistician who is crunching the #'s for millions of people. For an individual its pretty much 100% worthless.

I don't care how strong, muscular you are, if you got 2-3inches of fat on your gut that is TOO much fat imo. You may lift more but carrying too much fat is NEVER good for anyone...

that's garbage. I'm 6'1'' and weigh 183 lbs, giving me a BMI around 24.1, the high end of the scale for normal weight.

The calculator tells me that if I weighed 140lbs, I would have a BMI of 18.5, the low end of a normal weight... ya, that seems right.
