I don't know where/if they're governed, but a 4th and 5th gen maxima with similar power to weight will do a touch over 140, so that ballpark could be well applied to a Mazda 6.Originally posted by: Nebor

Are those pretty quick? I had a friend w/ a Mazda mp3 that was into autocross. He could get up to about 120 in that little car given enough time. Within the first year he had it, he had to get all new brakes and rotors. They were warped from 120-50mph stopping on the highway. That car handled like I couldn't believe though... Mazda's are the only Japanese cars with great styling. They really have a road presence, I love 'em.
Is that where they're governed?
ok mr. my car is better than yours... all I said was that there's no reason why a Mazda 6 can't do a measely 15mph over an SUV.Originally posted by: bmacd

My Acura is governed @ 129 or so. I've only been up to 110mph in it. It 'feels' like it could do 150 or 160 though. Thing sounds like an F1 car when it revs up around 6k rpms. I thought the Mazda 6s were pretty much in line w/ the Acura TL S types, around 250hp or so?

What kind of car?
Ignore the haters, they live in safe little boxes and never do anything dangerous or wreckless.
What are you, stupid? The "haters" aren't worried about themselves. They're worried about the van full of little children this moron piles into because he lost control of his car.
Bad things happen to good people. If he didn't run into them, maybe their tire would have blown out and they all die anyways. Who knows? C'est la vie.

If you have a new acura TL you could hit 150 but you'll be hard pressed to go much faster I would guess.
