They reacted to that 911 call with nine patrolmen (or was it nine cruisers?) and think the couple should bear the blame? D:
I think the dispatcher should be fired; most likely, it was dispatch that fucked up the translation to the officers.
Listening to the audio, the caller herself was even expressing doubt in her voice to a slight degree; to me, that implies she was fairly convinced he was being honest, but felt the authorities would be a more appropriate judge in the situation.
Clearly wrong, at least for that shift/dispatch crew, and/or typical reaction?
The funny part is all of the dip shits claiming how fucked up the authorities are for pressing charges would be raising hell IF it had been an actual abduction and the girl was killed or seriously hurt and the police didn't respond with 9 patrol cars etc. How about if it was your wife or girlfriend?
