I just came in from my local Office Depot in Lake Charles, LA and they have a storewide clearence going on. They had sets of Altec Lansing Series 100, Model 121i, speaker and subwoofer system on clearence for only $10. While this is no top of the line sound system, it delivers great sound for someone who does normal computer activities and likes to listen to music while working. I got a set of these about 6 months ago for my 14 year old and they do sound very good. The typically sell for about $30. I do not see a link at Office Depot's site, but found one from the manufacturer's site. It would also make a cheap/good gift for someone. Only drawback to this set is that the volume knob is located on the subwoofer. May not be on sell at all Office Depots either.
