i really need a pair of speakers that has the line-out for headphones on the speakers so that i don't have to bend down
behind the computer etc...pain in the butt.

it seems the only ones that have this feature these days are the el-cheapo-crappo ones...

I bought these about 2 years ago for about $70 and never regretted it for a second. They're not as good as my 100w/channel reciever and monitors, but for the price they're outstanding. They take up very little space and I'm surprised at the amount of clean base that comes out of such a small sub. These really are better at music than any sub-$100 powered speaker that I've heard. I've also cranked them and they get very loud before there's any distortion. These may not sound the "best" for some FPS games, but I end up going on alot of long business trips and these come with me and are great for movies, music and games from my laptop. Two sets of these would be great for a 4 speaker surround setup. Just my opinion.

Just get a headphone splitter and an extension - one output goes to the speakers and the other to the extension to your headphones. Turn off the speakers and plug in headphones when you want them. You could either run the extension up by the sattelite speakers or do what I did and mount the plug in an empty 5 1/4" bay on the front of my computer.

These are better than the labtecs. They have a cleaner sound. If you want more power, go for the labtecs. If you want to hear music clearly these are better.
