The sound will blow you away. I mean it. It sounds quite darn awesome. I had 2 sets, and gave one set away to a friend who needed speakers. I shouldn't have given it to him. I wanted to buy another set, but it is sold out! With these speakers hooked up to your tv, there really is a night and day difference.

Not a good deal. The Klipsch Promedia 5.1 Ultras no doubt sound much better. I have them and can testify to their great sound. You're better off getting the Ultras. Plus, they are 5.1.

Uhh. You're comparing a $20 2.1 set to a $300 5.1 set?

I've heard these speakers, and they really do sound good.

I spent $50 a while back on a set of Logitech 2200s (220-Watt, THX) and they are wonderful for movies.

I got these delivered already, they sound pretty good but the signal to noise should be another 10 db's higher.

Also since it is made for consolse it has the volume and power control on a seperate WIRED remote, which sucks but for the price I am not complaining too much.

It has 3 modes, TV, games and one other, all boost bass but the sub has a bass control so turn that done to get a normal volume.

Could these speakers be plugged into the headphone jack on a laptop? Looks like they have a mini-phone stereo jack:

Pelikans, unless they changed it, I believe you need a separate adapter. The set that I already own did not come with the adapter, and they are all RCA connectors.
