So many good shows on Netflix these days, dont know how I am going to catch up.

Altered Carbon 2 gets moved to the head of the list today.

Respectfully disagree. Had not known him before. Now, I have to admit that his acting is really bad, to put it mildly.

Is he an actor by trade, or just a guy they took from somewhere? In any case, I'll finish the series but as of now, I hope they will not make 3rd season if it continues in this fashion.

Can't shake the feeling I had when watching The Matrix 2/3 after Matrix 1.

I'm not sure if I really bought into the Elder's ability to remotely wipe stack backups when it attacked people in season 2.

You would think that the super rich and powerful people it was attacking would be smart enough to keep an offline backup of themselves to protect themselves from hackers and whatnot.

But, hey... it's just a TV show, right?

Yea, the thought crossed my mind as well. I try not to get all hardcore about tech type TV shows, it's just to easy to lose the "feel" of the show like that.

Ill probably finish the series just because I am a sucker for the genre and Simone Missicks face.

fall under being highly illegal as we saw how they viewed double sleeve or such since it could be used to make multiple copies of the same person at the same time.

That and to make a way to truly kill someone as we saw in season 1 and here also.

Seems like a decent amount of the concepts from all 3 existing books have already been tapped. A logical framework for a potential 3rd season is to use as an antagonist the Renouncer cult that was developed in the 2nd season. That ties into one of the existing plotlines from Woken Furies although I don't know what the belief system of the religious extremists in the book entailed. Would allow a deeper dive into the questions about identity and its ties to the physical body and such that were touched upon in the first two seasons with parallels to the Taliban, Scientology, and similar extremist groups of today.

finished it. not as good as the 1st but still give it 8/10.

it kinda got stupid in the last 2 episodes, especially the ending.
why move the satellites? they surround the freaking planet. what's the point?

nice cliffhanger about who the unknown Ghost in the Shell is...
and more importantly, hope they don't come up with some Star Trek like unbelievable explanation on how.

No where near as good as the first season. Poe is the best character of the bunch this go around. Almost hope they dont make a season 3.

I can't get along with how Mackey delivers his dialog in this show. It reminds me of going to film festivals and seeing independent films with new actors.

It's not as good as the first season - but that's hard to do when you're replacing an actor and the writers have to figure out how to keep the magic around. Mackey was ok. I also think they lost some of the magic - the environment wasn't as good. It was a generic 'futuristic society' without the grittiness and distinction of the first season. There you really felt the Mets vs the non-mets and the haves vs the have-nots distinction was illustrated well. And you felt the complete disregard for the human body in season 1. I'm not saying you have to keep it the same but S2 wasn't as engaging. Maybe because they added a lot of new characters so they had to spend time on story development instead of environmental immersion. This might also be the first show where I thought nudity played into the story well. Who cares about nudity when people can just hop into whatever body you want? Plays into the disregard for the human body. S2 moved back towards America's puritanical roots.
