Alternatives to Paypal

I'm lookin for an alternative to PayPal... I help run a mailing list for an internet car club and we wannt take donations to help upgrade the server. Up to about $400 worth, and that's it. We're trying to make it as easy for people as possible and offer some sort of way of just filling out a form and paying with CC. KISS. PayPal seems to offer that service. But. We have a guy in Canada that's trying to send us money and it won't take his CC for some stoopid reason. And it seems like PayPal makes you create an account when you donate, something we want to avoid... make things as simple as possible.

Anyone know of any place that could help us set something up?

get a merchant account

40/month plus a interest rate on every transaction

It's only a one time thing, and we are't incorporated or anything like that. Not worth the hassle of getting a merchant account and setting up a secure server to interface with the merchant account, etc etc. billpoint.com looks promising, gotta figure out if they accept canadian funds.

yahoo's paydirect, last time i checked they allowed like 1000monthly free of service fees

yeah, if it's just canada and US, a MO should be the cheapest, simplest thing to do.

We want it to be online and as painless as possible. We figure more people are likely to help chip in on the server if all they have to do is pull out the credit card and type the number in. So far, it's looking like PayPal is the best bet... If we limit donations to under $15 per person, I don't think we'll have to pay the 2.2% charge.
