Alternatives to slingbox?

Are there any similar products to Slingbox? I haven't seen anything else similar that integrates with cable / sat..

The only one I know of is Orb, which is a PC based software alternative. You need a tuner or video capture card for it to work. The downside is that you can't change channels remotely like you can with Slingbox. Orb is also pretty slow at transcoding so there's quite a delay.

Is there anything wrong with a slingbox? I tried many DIY solutions which relied on a PC, and they weren't worth the effort. A slingbox may seem expensive, but setting up a PC with the necessary hardware, wasting time to configure (over the phone with parents if you're away and the VPN/VNC/remote desktop stopped working too), and the extra power required make that option seem like a bargain, unless you need some degree of configuration the slingbox doesn't have.

There's nothing wrong with Slingbox - I just thought there would be more competitors. Guess not.
