i've been playing the demo of CoH recently and have to say it's a ton of fun! I was never really a fan of RTS games but this game has totally changed my mind about that. what's great too is you don't need two hands! (my 5m/o daughter likes to be held a lot for all you pervs )

I'm definitely getting this game and opposing forces as well.

A copy of it came with my graphics card. I set it aside when work got a little crazy, but I'll have to pull it back out now that I'm off on a snow day.

I've just recently started playing the expasion. Did the german campaign and started the brits. Its a very different game when you start playing a faction that doesn't give grenades to most of its ground units.

I bought this game on clearance at Target last week and set it aside, since I just re-started my LOTRO subsription for a month or two, but I too am excited about this! I am a big WW2 fan, but not an RTS fan so I initially scorned the idea, then I read some reviews and saw some screenies and couldnt resist, it looks so great! I wonder if there is a modding community built around it? Hmm. I like a game with replayability, and am still waiting for a WW2 experience to beat Combat Mission.

i just installed the game on saturday and i've already put in 15 hours lol. i am still on the normandy campaign ( did a lot of skirmishes), but man this game is an 'effin blast! i would never have thought i could love playing an rts ( i was an fps guy for a long time) but good lord this game is everything it was touted to be.

I play this game at least 1-2 times a week with friends.. we usually do comp stopms like 2v4 or 3v4.. its fun has hell.. I'd agree.

Well he did say older, which is not technically incorrect in any way, it's not an old game, it's just older than say... a game like World in Conflict.

Anyways, I really enjoyed CoH too, I was pretty disencouraged from the problems patching the game and the obscene 2.0GB patch that came out with Opposing Fronts.

that one was the hardest for me.

Great game all together. The expansion is another great addition.

I played Multiplayer for a good while, its great, but you ran into a lot of challenges. Then balancing became an issue, etc etc etc, then I found myself pissed all the time cause I sucked compared to my rank, ha.

All in all, great game to play with your friends over LAN. Awesome graphics/sound, everything

read title i did say it was older. i picked it up because a few buddies were playing it and i thought it was cool. i dl'd the demo and got hooked. i haven't been hooked on a game like this since i first discovered counterstrike almost 9 years ago. and i still play that game to this day. so you can imagine the thrill i am experiencing at finally finding a game that gives me that new game feeling with excitement to boot.

It's awesome. I've beaten both the original and expansion on Normal, now I'm replaying it on Hard. Definitely kicked it up a notch.

Of all of the factions, I prefer the Americans, especially the Airborne track. The Germans require too much micro for my taste and take too long to get going (their tanks are badass though). The Brits are fine, but they're almost entirely focused on turtleing and defense. I actually prefer that tactic, but the problem is that the Brits are TOO focused on defense IMO. Very little offensive capability until you get tanks. The commandos are nice, but nowhere near as versatile as US paratroopers.

That, and Americans can build tank traps right off the bat. Germans can build roadblocks, but that requires research, and they're nowhere near as versatile in terms of placement options.

I haven't been able to install this game correctly. Everytime I patch to the latest it corrupts my RelicCOH.exe and deletes my desktop icon. I gave up trying to play.
