I have been fidgetting with my lian pc-65 every day for a week and a half... other than a quick wipe with a cloth, no fingerpring issues. Hit it with some windex now & then if it's an issue (haven't had to do it yet, but it works great on aluminum and stainless steel). DON'T use windex on the plastic window though, use a plexiglass cleaner or you will damage it.
I even hauled mine around a couple times this week without covering, wrapping or boxing it and no marks on it.
Get your drives where you want em before you tighten the screws. The screws WILL leave marks in the case. Some fiber washers are not a bad idea, don't use them on the back side (where you won't see the marks anyways) and you will still ensure a good ground path. i wish i had done this when i built mine up.
The hard anodizing (vs color anodizing) is pretty tough. If you signifficantly scratch it, you would have scratched the paint on a normal case down to the metal anyways.at least you can buff the aluminum.
The lian li is surprisingly rigid, and there isn't really anything about it that ticks me off. Not many things in my life i can say THAT about !
Drive color : I tossed around on this a lot before buying... I actually like the way my beige drives look in the case. I have two CDRW's, a DVD and the breakout box from the Audigy Platinum filling all four 5.25 slots. It looks good like that, and even my friends who said the beige drives would look terrible admit they look decent.
I DO plan to paint the floppy bezel silver though, as it looks out of place. I was going to just remove it and plug it in when i need it (didn't use it in over a year anyways) but i'm going to attempt to spray it.
