A month ago, I didn't care if I didn't go to prom. But lately everyone has been telling me that I will regret it if I do not go. I'm starting to feel a bit depressed that I might miss out on something fun. I haven't had any good memories in high school at all, and not going to prom seems to be the perfect way to cap off my sh!tty high school experience.

So, at the moment I'm very conflicted. One moment I feel that I don't care about some stupid dance considering how crappy my high school years have been. But other times I feel very depressed that I might be able to connect to my school for one last time, but I still can't go.

Am I going to regret not going to prom?

Its not that great. Just download porn and jerk off, it'll save you the bad and awkward handjob in the back of a car that we allllll remember so well on the way to the after-party.

Its so expensive to get the apolstry in your car cleaned.

You obviously had a poor prom experience...

My prom was fine, but its nothing I look back on as special. It was just another piece of high school, like others have said, one dance out of many. A limo and a tux doesn't change too much.

College is a much more enjoyable experience, better people and more fun.

Couldn't get a date either huh?

I didn't go because I got into trouble so some stupid sh!t at school. I don't remember what it was specifically because I was always in trouble at school. They said I was incorrigible.

I enjoyed my prom and I'm really glad I went to it.

but I wouldn't consider someone else a loser for not going to theirs (unless, of course, their reason for not going was that they couldn't get a date)

God damn. I rant on this all the time. The prom is for chicks and the suckers chicks sucker into going. Even if you got a date, she'd probably spend the whole time trying to get Johny football hero to drive her pile while you ate cheetos and looked awkward.

You don't have a date: Consider it a bullet dodged. Unless the girl was your serious girlfriend before asking you to the prom, you are just going to fill the role of well dressed bag of meat that pays for the gas and flowers.

Do not go, its sh|t. Take the $75 you were going to waste on a tux rental and buy some porn DVDs instead.

I only went to one school dance like my sophmore year i think, it was a winter dance of some kind. It sucked. It was so boring that i got up and left half way through to do some Christmas shopping. Ever since then, i refuse to go to any school function that is not during school hours, and even when it is i tend to come up with an excuse not to go.

I never went... I could have gotten it all paid for by the rents. I had a few dates possible. I didnt feel like going.... and everyone told me how much I'd regret it...

Here I am 9 years out of HS, and guess what... I don't regret it or feel like I missed out at all whatsoever.

Don't sweat it kid, these people have no fvcking clue what they're talking about.

I never went to any of my high school dances, and i never went to my proms, i think it a huge waste of money, why piss away craploads of money on a limo and a tux? Save the money and go on a nice trip this summer, or a nice computer build.

I can tell the majority of the people posting here were not in the "in crowd" in HS =P

Prom= 400 bucks...
screwing the head cheerleader in the limo = priceless

You should go..... find a date, just ask someone who isn't going, even if you don't think they will say yes, they might. It will be fun. If you don't, you're going to miss out on some great memories.
