Am I a loser for not going to prom?

i'd say yes, if you cannot go by yourself and have fun your a loser anyway....

Usually other topics are discussed. Our prom was interesting as more than one thing happened there that was unusual. Poking me with simple childish names shows where you are coming from. The past is what makes the present and future. I don't relive the past but talk about memories when the conversation comes up.

Yes, and your accusations of people being turned down for dates and fearing real world experiences is the pinnacle of psychological profiling. :roll: What a fool.

Perhaps some of us just hated high school and were only there because the law requires it. Attending school sponsored extra-curricular activities is simply an extension of a waste of time and money.

You also said that when you talk to old classmates, prom and graduation parties come up more than anything. Sounds to me like you are reliving the past. But, I do hope your career in shoe sales is going well for you Mr. Bundy.

im going to have to agree with bluestrobe...all you kids that are hating on prom are obviously the kids in school that made it crappy for themselves...high school is meant to be enjoyed, to be loud and obnoxious, and to make a fool of yourself. get out of your room and off your computer and socialize with people youll meet in real life, because your chance is running out. most of the kids that didnt go to prom in my school were losers and never have fun and get picked on...so i can understand where the profiling is coming from, because for the most part (99.9%), its true...

once again, people try and defend their selves on a forum, to people they will most likely ever meet...now dont get me wrong, i have e-friends i play cs with or wow, but i would much rather go drink with some buddies or hang out with my gf than chat with them and scrim or something...

your buddies. at a hang out that you enjoy. would you like to go somewhere you don't like to hang out at, and with people you aren't buddies with? exactly. the prom is just another hang out for buddies. not obligatory, not a rite of passage, not regretful. (again, i did go and enjoyed it.)

I LOVE READING THESE... not that i like reading about people's miseries or whatnot but seriously, this isn't a matter of whether or not you are a loser, but a matter of interests. If you don't know if you're going to be missing out, then go. What is the harm? What is a couple of hundred dollars compared to a memory tha tyou may cherish for a lifetime. I just went to one... speaking of which just like night. I went to work so buzzed and sleepy. it's great man. Just go and have fun.... and people stop using the term loser.... it's so overused and derrogative.
