So the SO has been bugging me for a new pc. They are an educator, so use a lot of web based applications (usually all open simultaneously), the usual productivity stuff, video and photo editing. The other night after listening to several minutes of passive aggressive complaining about their machine and being a "little bit tipsy" I went to Newegg and ordered:
Intel NUC (Next Unit of Computing) BXNUC10I7FNHN Mini / Booksize Barebone System, No Power Cord
SAMSUNG 980 M.2 2280 1TB PCI-Express 3.0 x4, NVMe 1.4 V-NAND MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-V8V1T0B/AM
WD Black 1TB Hard Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 2.5 Inch - WD10SPSX
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 260-Pin DDR4 SO-DIMM DDR4 2666 (PC4 21300) Laptop Memory Model F4-2666C18D-32GRS
The idea is to mount this thing on an adapter plate behind their monitors to reduce desktop clutter.
How badly did I screw up?
