am I paying too much for contacts?

I pay $100 for 2 cases (12 lenses, 6 pairs) of month contacts. They're Biomedic Toric lenses and they last a month each, so 2 boxes last me half a year. how's the price I'm paying?

Rip off. Just search online. I think Sam's or Walmart has them for less than that....$25-30/box.

From research I've done that's about right for the 30 day toric lenses. 45ish a box for my 30 day Bausch Lomb Purevision toric lenses at costco. The 25-30 dollar ones are 2 week, have the same number of lenses per box, and not designed for continuous wear (well, the purevision are anyways... not sure about the biomedic).

I wear Acuvue Oasys, and I pay $35 a box, but are torics more expensive?

Toric is for astigmatism (sp?) I believe.

Acuvue Oasis are also about $25-30/box at walmart/sam's.

I thought I had an astigmatism... maybe it's not very bad.

I don't know if the fact that I'm in Canada makes my contacts more expensive, or because I get them directly from my eye doctor. Probably the latter.

I believe I paid around $175 (after rebate) for a one year's worth of 2-week Acuvue Advance (Toric) contacts (I wear them for one month) - this equates to 24 pairs of contacts. Each box contains 6 contacts, so a total of 8 boxes, which means about $21 per box. I get my contacts from Costco.

I'm pretty sure my math is right, except I'm not sure if the price I pay is per box of contacts or per pair of boxes, though the price per box (for 8 boxes) seems about right.

I wear the same lenses and buy them at Walmart for about $70 total. I'm guessing that Walmart, like most retailers, adjust their prices by the area of the store, so $100 might be a good price where you live.

Sounds fine to me. I got 2 boxes (6 per) of toric contacts for $180 CAN (2 suppose to be 2 weeks to 2 months wear). Regulars were suppose to be $100 for 12. If you are getting torics for $100, sounds like you're getting a good deal. Not sure what the prices are in the US.

I wear monthly ones but dont wear them every day to get a lot of life out of them. I wear Acuve Advance and they are like $80 for 2 boxes.

I got about a year supply for 300 dollars. My contacts are 1 pair a day. Put um on in the morning, throw them out at the end of the day.

Fucking love them.

15 years wearing contacts like Juno (extending the life of them). Never had a problem.

Once a year I buy the equivalent of a 6 month supply and that will last me a year or longer. I toss them when they get scratchy.
