Actually no. I'll post them again.

Notes/documentation are not necessarily kept in the infraction area, in the context of what EagleKeeper and esquared were talking about. And who gives a shit where it's kept?

What part of

"Any evidence that a Moderator needs to justify actions IS OBTAINED via searches of posts."

and

"There are notes on people but every member has the notes box. Some people who have had no infractions have zero notes. The ones who have had infractions have info based on that infraction. The more infractions, the more notes. More infractions turn to vacations."

Do you not understand?

Posts and items in the notes box are the accepted areas for gathering evidence to be used for disciplinary decisions.

i apologies if i insulted you. that's not at all the intention i had.

all i was saying was that this is a mess and i don't like seeing my friends (perk, mosh, and ga) get insulted the way they've been insulted this entire thread. i was also saying that there might be a misunderstanding. i hear you, you took a lot of time arriving at a conclusion. that doesn't mean there wasn't a misunderstanding that systematically lead you to your conclusion. for example, a math equation where you accidentally plug in the wrong number for one of the variables... it may have taken you a while to complete the equation, but does it mean that the answer was correct? no.

Not when you read someone's PM and it says there, "hay person X want this info?" PersonX's PM "Yeah sure send it over". Not much to misunderstand there. I'm not saying I really agree with the methods here but I don't think any logical or factual mistakes were made.

I'll just leave this here.

- LoKe's final contribution to this forum. It's sad to see that one person can bring something from being a fun place to hang out and shoot the shit, to a place where you have to proof-read every post to make sure you're not about to unknowingly offend someone.

i don't really see the significance of these screenshots loke made. so perk tried to explain his opinion about why he felt the way he felt during a certain point in the forums' history. big deal. what do you think admins and mods to when there's an issue? unilaterally make a decision while all the other mods jack around?

either way, i still fail to see what, exactly, mosh did that deserved such a long ban. i feel like all i'm getting is an answer as vague as saying "misconduct".

also, i still strongly feel that she should be given an opportunity to see all the evidence against her so she can explain how and why she's innocent even though the evidence supports her guilt.

"Searches of posts" makes no implication as to how evidence of said posts is preserved. "IF a decision is to be made, it is based on the posts that any person can dredge up, not just a Moderator" is further indication that there is flexibility in how one obtains or keeps evidence, and screenshots of FS/T posts does not seem to fall outside of that boundary.

What kind of dossiers are you guys talking about? Warnings and vacations are obviously logged for each member, and that is no surprise. What more is being recorded? Home addresses? SSNs?

I think they mean lists of past things said that were close to infractions, links to posts that are on the line etc. I have no problem with them keeping that kind of info.

what if the info presented is bullshit, or happened nearly 10 years ago?

It is evidence of a personal hit list that is kept outside of the normal, acceptable methods used by the other mods here. Nevermind the fact that these alleged actions took place 8+ years ago. That's quite a long time to maintain a non dossier.

It is also evidence that posts on other forums are being brought into disciplinary discussions since a "TFNN Conspiracy" is mentioned. That speaks to an abuse of power as well as a need for meds.

Then hopefully in the ensuing discussion of said info, it is correctly determined to be bullshit and no action is taken (except maybe against the one presenting it)? I seriously love this thread, a bunch of TFNN diehards effectively arguing against accountability for the actions of long-term and privileged forum members.

You don't say?

I think you've posted "abuse of power" at least 10 times in the last 100 posts, though I haven't been keeping track. I'm not a doctor, so I don't know if any meds exist that can help with that.
