Am I the only one getting some Oct snow?

western NY here. Looking out the window, all the patio furniture is white & covered with snow. Damn it! And there's a big hole in the basement where I'm planning on a door, Bilco door, and stairs - so the cold just rushes right down into the basement. And, I'm waiting for the piece of replacement glass for my coal stove - I don't trust the piece that's in there. Hopefully, I'll get the heat turned on Saturday. It's 32 degrees outside; 52 inside this morning before I left for work.

It has been snowing regularly the last two weeks even at the low elevation that I live at. The mountains around me have had snow since late August.

well the snow ended and it's just wind and rain now. Seems the weekend is a wash.

I believe it has snowed every day for about a week and a half now here. But then it rains during the day melting the snow.

Supposed to be in the 50's this weekend. Time to seal up the house for Winter.

We're going hiking on Saturday. Wearing shorts all year round is a good thing. If I want to freeze my off I can drive up the mountain.

Mid-to-upper 90's isn't bad...IF the humidity is low.

Florida? Yep...it'd suck. Arizona? Not so bad.

I'd rather be able to do stuff outside in shorts and a t-shirt than have to put on a coat to do stuff...

Of course, this usually means we have to mow lawns all freaking winter. :roll:'

i'm in upstate new york, we got a good dusting on the ground, but the cars were covered with a wet sloppy mix of heavy snow, had to brush it off. 38 degrees here right now.. freezing for october. i'm expecting a really bad winter.
