Am I the only one who can't stand finger & toe nails?

I fvcking cannot stand it.

Finger nails are terribly annoying. They scratch, crack, get cruddy, fray, look gross, kill dolphins, and are annoying and pointless. Our theory says it's meant to protect your digits, add dexterity for delicate operations, enhance fingertip sensitivity (without nerves? wtf?!), etc.

When was the last time you actually felt those benefits? Never. Just annoying as hell and always in the way.

Same goes for toe nails. It's meant to "reduce damage" when stubbing your toes or dropping things on your feet my ass. I still walk fine after I bite them. Feet come out of socks without the nail getting snagged on an elastic thread (not to mention, going in without ruining them), I get less holes in my socks, no annoying protrusions from said holes in my socks, or unsightly fungus.

I trip the fvck out of both every 2-3 weeks and I effn' just bite out any long ones sticking out of my digits.

By God! Dems some bootiful nails. I have a feeling that some of you may not agree with me (jealous?), but I don't care because Joaquin Phoenix is way cooler than you. At least I'm not a sicko like those Trichotillomania weirdos.

Yeah so, ever try to pick up say a coin off the ground, how much easier it is it to use to your fingernails?
And if you have never had your fingernails protect your fingertips you are probably living a very sheltered existence.
As for fingertip sensitivity, if your nails are long enough you tend not to touch things as often with the fingertips. If the tips are not touched often their sensitivity is increased.
