I cant stand Bruce Springsteen's music. I've tried to listen to his old and new music and it's all crap to me. Now, they have his music running with the MLB playoffs. I know a ton of middle aged people that have hard-ons for the guy and his 4 hour concerts....I just don't get it.

I question whether I'm un-American all the time, but it has little to do with music. I'm a big fan of Springsteen. I don't listen to him much, but I like what he's done. He's a hard worker too. He gives you everything at his shows.

I've never been a fan of Springsteen's stuff other than Rosalita and The Fever. But I do like Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul. Little Steven was in the Springsteen's E Street Band early on and sang on Glory Days.

I've had people tell me the two bands aren't that different stylistically but I don't see it.

I've never really liked his music either. "Born in the USA" sounds like was starting to lose his voice & he's a bit hoarse. Actually... all of his music sounds that way.
As far as that song goes, I really have no favorite version & find Stanley Clarke's jazz fusion version from the mid 80's to be just as tolerable.

He and Mellencamp's music drives me nuts now.. used to love it back in the 80's.. but it was played to DEATH then and it still is now. I cannot go for a drive home or to work and at one point in the trip one of my 6 preset stations play one of their songs.
