if there is 1 person dominating and then everyone else is close, it benefits the people in 2nd/3rd place to just try and let the 1 person win the game because if you are in t he top 3 spots (in lone wolf) your rank will increase and you get EXP points. some people only care about ranking up, and if you know you are beat, mine as well try to make sure you go out in 2nd/3rd instead of going out in 4th/5th.

if that were the case it would be acceptable however its normally someone not even playing and just killing people as they spawn

Yeah, I hate oddball games where people will let the person with the ball go free while concentrating on killing other people who are nowhere near the action. I guess it's a good way to get your kill ration up, since people are ignoring you for the most part.

But that ***IS*** the whole point.

Either do as others have suggested, and always play with the headset muted, or play with the headset on and disconnect at first sign of juvenille behavior and leave him bad feedback. Obviously the first option is currently the more accepted behavior. But the second option would be the best solution in the long run if everyone followed suit since the excessive smack talkers would have no one to play against. The current feedback system is kind of worthless.
