yea right on with the no. i dunno why but girls get really offended when you won't do them favors. wtf is up with that? i had some girl pissy at me because i wouldn't get her water! we were all sitting down and it was just as easy for her to get herself water, but for some reason she thought i should? wtf am i, her "fucking" waiter?

I don't think you're in slight danger of being called upon only when needed by this girl because it should be crystal clear at this point she's pushing it. Do her a favour and get her out of your hair at the same time, I figure.

gopunk: Argh, that's happened to me before and I have to try really hard not to take it like a slap in the face. Why didn't you ask someone else? Even better, why not get off your own butt and do it? The mere fact that they would ask and expect you to comply is for some reason really insulting.

Talking to your current g/f about this was probably the best thing you could do. This is a tough situation because we really don't have enough information to make an educated decision (we need to get a feel for the emotional nuances involved, and verification that your ex has no ulterior motives). As for your "neutral mutual friends" who now think you're a jerk... I wouldn't give them a second thought.
