Well D&H doesn't handle DFI products, so I'm checking them mainly for Asus or MSI. And the process goes manufacurer -> distributor -> reseller -> end user. So it'll be right after D&H gets them, probably.

It's the cheapest AM2 board I've seen in Canada it's got all the basic features to get
me by until the serious AM2/ATI boards hit the market.

But I really don't know at this point. It's so much easier to just commit to nVidia.

I dont mean to offend you but where on there do you see Crossfire? ATI boards without crossfire are everywhere... we are looking for crossfire boards.

I can't find any ATI AM2 boards except the ones discussed in this thread. I don't care about Crossfire; will you please direct me to the non-crossfire ATI AM2 boards.

www.newegg.com

So you call ONE as being everywhere? There is exactly one at Newegg.

And it's in stock. Be happy. We can't even find a Crossfire board in stock. So rejoice at your one board.

Hey guys i have been following you people for a while cause me and a friend of mine are also wanting for the deluxe mobo to come out. I m quite optimistic about the fact that the DFI and asus boards will be available at the end of the month, but i dunno if thats ever going to happen considering i, like others, have been waitng for the boards to release for the past 2 and a half months.

anyways, what i wanted to share is this site

http://www.overdrivepc.com:8080/opcNew/products/index.jsp?site=gaming

In their Gemini X-Fire system they are offering the deluxe mobo. You can see it here as well

http://www.overdrivepc.com:8080/opcNew/...n=startOver&useBuild=53879&site=gaming

Motherboard :
[Asus] M2N32-SLI Deluxe nForce 590 (AM2) Motherboard
[Asus] M2R32-MVP Deluxe RD580 CrossFire (AM2) Motherboard

i dunno why it says RD580 isnt it suppose to be SB800 ? or is that the south bridge

anyways so yeah...thats that.

good find man, Thanks for the update. Looks like it wont be long. I called tiger direct and the guy didnt even know what i was talking about when i asked about the Asus M2R32 MVP. I explained it was a crossfire AM2 motherboard and im sure on the other side of the phone he was scratching his head and manually closing his mouth

See its sad for us canadians because we have to wait a month for our sales reps to learn the new technologies a year after its been introduced to the rest of the world. I called canadacomputers a day before the AMD price cuts were supose to happen so the 23 of july. The guy tells me that he has no idea what i am talking about and the next day i check their site the prices are lowered. Stupid NDAs

Anyways fingers crossed. Lets see what happens.

Keep in mind that companies like Dell (ugh) and even the one you showed get access to these parts before the general public. We get the leftovers, and there damn well better be some left over.

Hang in there, everyone. One more week and a matter of days and we can all put NewEgg (or various Canadian retailers, lol) out of stock. I'm heading off to college this next saturday, so I may not get the board as soon as everyone else, but I just got an ASUS M2NPV-VM to tide me over... (Only one X1900 for now )

Anyhow, I'm sure Gary Key knows what he's talking about, so don't go over to the dark side of the nForce just yet.

Yeah i am offering the same hope to other people on my site in the same situation.

But, the companies should realize that they need to be uptight about their manufacturing dates and release dates. Bewildering the customer is not a very good thing especially if the product is a key component such as a motherboard. Asus Ati DFI are lucky that they have enthusiasts like us to support them. No wonder we keep loosing people to SLi.

Just got some updates from Gary. The ECS and MSI boards will be reviewed this week. No word on retail of them yet, but they've popping up on e-tailers already, so

The Asus and DFI boards will sample next week, review the week after, and "maybe" retail shipping in early September.

Blame BIOS tuning.

 <-- I need about 8 of these to drown my sorrows.

I'm probably gonna get an nForce 4 board until the Asus/DFI boards come out, and then RMA it and get the good stuff.

has anyone heard about if the ESC KA3 crossfire board has been having any memory compatability issues? ill tried to look around, but with no luck. If it'll take some cheap OCZ 800mhz then thats what ill get. It depends on the price of these new ASUS and DFI boards wether or not im just gonna opt for the ECS board, im not a big overclocker and stickler on squeezing a mobo's nipples til it bleeds, hehe. Ive only built about 4 boxes, so my knowledge/experience is still pretty young.

btw, new guy here, love the site so far, i looked high and low for a good tech site that has alot of activity.

The ECS Crossfire is in stock at newegg. See if you can get someone (a relative?) to ship it to, then they can ship to to you.

it seems like every time we get an update it's always "next week will be testing and then the week after THAT the board will be released"

then when the test week arrives we get the same line... i know how this stuff goes but i agree that mfg's should be more reliable and exact with release dates

in a perfect world right?

I think I'm gonna wait for the MSI K9A Platinum to hit retail. According to Gary, the latest BIOS update "transformed the board from below average to above average in overclocking." And it'll hit next week. I'm sensing some one day/overnight shipping charges.

I read an artical on http://theinquirer.net that ATI is preparing to release there x1950 series cards sept 14. This might have somthing to do with the delay of the asus boards since there Crossfire bundles on the ATI website use asus boards.

new mobo's, new graphics cards = kick a$$ crossfire bundle

It's an idea nothing I can prove

BIOS tuning is at fault here. Sure, we want these motherboards now, but I also don't want to suffer through 2 months of daily BIOS updates.

Interesting theory though, Dann.
