yeah, that was annoying. My guess is that the camera wasn't quite as stable as they were hoping and it was just a very shaky, blurry image.

Or, since the eagle finishes the decent talons down, a lot of that shot is probably an open sky. That's what I hope their excuse is, anyway.

eh, none of the "yapping" was pointless. The utter devastation of Dubai's slave-driven building-program has managed to turn a nearly uninhabitable desert into a completely unsustainable and certain dystopian wasteland.

Trying to associate CO2 with smaller scale environmental concerns at the expense of all the other pollutants that go along with it is truly laughable, especially because it correlates with so many other things from fossil fuel emissions that DO affect local air quality.

There may also have been a signal issue. It was live and the receiver may have been at the top of one of those towers.

Watch it again. I'm not arguing for or against AGW, but you are forcing me to say it: CO2 is a greenhouse gas and anthropogenic sources very well may be raising the temperature of the planet.

Now that that is out of the way, I'm saying that something they specifically said was moronic, which is very relevant to THIS THREAD (NOT that one). They started talking about local environmental concerns in Dubai and from there they could've gone on to talk about air quality or habitat or any number of things and yet they chose to discredit themselves by only mentioning CO2. It harms their entire point by making them appear agenda-driven and unable to understand the actual threat from CO2, much less, the actual threat to their local environment.

The fact that it correlates so well with other environmental concerns is precisely my point: did they forget that those existed just because CO2 is the devil on a different scale? The only comment I heard them make, referencing CO2, was "Dubai is one of the top carbon-emmiters in the world," which doesn't really make a value judgment on CO2 alone. As I said, CO2 happens to be a very solid way to quantify increased activity; which can be used to trace all sorts of things being pumped into a local area. It provides a reference point for investigating a troubled area.

Anyway, I had to watch this again before I realized what they were talking about in the background. I tuned it out completely...because eagle.

The wings kept near motionless and the head always scanning pretty neat. Video chopping around to some schmucks on the ground right before the bird goes to nose dive was retarded.
