Wow, I remember those days like it was yesterday.

I added a similar combo to my TRS using a Seagate Controller and a 10 Meg Winchester drive. I wrote the assembly language for the controller to talk to the TRS interface.

Cost me I believe about $600 or 800 altogether, don't remember.

I do remember that doing the assembly language then turned me off to programming even though I got it to work. I burned out too early, would've made a mint had a I started with a better programming language.

Just like today if I was to say 4GB of RAM is good enough for anybody's average PC use, nobody would argue. But in 2020, 4GB is gonna be shitsquat and won't even be enough to load Photoshop ZX.
