I was just informing you about the type of site it was, not trying to sound smug. As for the website itself, its terrible. I'm not crapping on your thread, I'm giving my feelings. Last time I checked, I was on DSL too... but all the pr0n I'm downloading at work must be sucking down the bandwidth. Apparently also, I don't know what real art is. You sure got my number, licksack. edit: Oh, also I didnt get to any of the minis, simply because of the craptastic website. So I have no way in giving my thoughts on them, although I'm sure you are correct in how cool they are. (that wasn't sarcasm, mini's are cool.)

Intake, flash and shockwave ARE the same thing. Flash is a derivitive of the shockwave engine.
They are one and the same, both are vector based rendering systems.


Give the guy a break.

I cant believe you just said that flash and shockwave are the same thing. I guess the original Director (pre-shockwave days) is the same thing as Flash, because they use the same timeline navigational interface and are made by Macromedia. Oh, and because Illustrator is a vector based art program, means that it's just like Flash and Shockwave. Just because something shares a common way of doing things, doesnt mean they are the same thing. Here's a homework assignment for you. Goto Macromedia's homepage... and try buying Flash 5.0 and Director 8.5, then just tell them that they are the same thing and you should get 2 for 1.

Give the guy a break? I was trying to be fsking helpful, as to avoid ignorance in the future. This country is far too full of that as it is. :|

Intake77. I'm sorry, obviously you just don't have a clue.
They both have the same output. Director is geared more towards interactive environments whereas Flash is for animation. Shockwave = Vector based animation. The interfaces are irrelavent, Flash IS shockwave. Shockwave is the power behind Flash. UNDERSTAND? Flash was made so that shockwave could be more useable and easier to understand.
