Indeed . Friend of mine put it together: cut to the loading screen, and a good 15 minutes were cut at the beginning of the actual match as well.

wouldn't need any advanced editing software, you could do that with windows movie maker. Basically just cut the time in between the end of the loading screen and whenever the one side is ready with that huge fleet/army
