It's kind of odd, it sort of looked like a lot of mistakes and simple accidents on much of the skateboard stuff, but I know there is a crap ton of skill there. It just didn't look like it.

I also enjoyed the ghost town and the music seemed to fit well.

I didn't see a single "mistake", that dude can flat out skate, completely sic tricks, nice job with the music and set, reminded me of when we used to ride our dirt bikes in an old abandoned amusement park. Nice OP, thanks for posting this..

After hitting the pole it almost looks like he lost balance and did some fancy footwork to catch himself. I realize that has got to be all skill though, no way in heck I would have even been able to do the flip jump thing. Still to me it appeared as if it were a mistake...several times I was like "did he plan that or did he just kind of fake it?"

I felt like the intention was to balance on the pipe much longer, then do some fancy hop off. Instead he just kind of bounced off of it, and I had the reaction of "that was it?". Again, I couldn't do that...so there is definitely skill there. But to me, it just seemed like it was a mistake. Like watching a gymnast jump up and grab the parallel bars, do a few swings and then let go and flip to the ground without doing any other stunts on the bars.

There were several other moments like that throughout the whole thing. I don't want to tear this guy apart, he's obviously talented...but that's why it seemed kind of weird to me.

Every time I drive to Vegas I would kind of wonder about that place outside Barstow. Cool video that was well done.

It is a lot harder than it looks and it takes many years just to be comfortable on the board. Let alone what he's doing.

The sign of a great skater is it looks easy to them. Same can be said for most sorts but board sports it's much more apparent.

Man I miss staking. Too old now. I can still bust out a kickflip at will though. Just like riding a bike.

Yeah, your examples are pretty much the opposite of what you think they are. You don't understand what you are seeing. If he wanted to ride the pipe forward instead of sliding it he wouldn't have approached it in a parallel fashion. The first example, he's well away from the pole with his weight centered when he shuffles the board. If it was a fumble he would of just tried it again out edited it out.
