blahbooboo, these are normal T-Fal pans so yes, they are as good.

azri, you would have to have your profile visible or at least leave an email addy for someone to email you the coupon. In a previous post someone has a link to where you can find the coupon.

jinduy, that set is nice and it's actually a 9pc set (includes a bonus 11 1/2" fry pan) but I prefer this set. T-Fal isn't metal utensil safe and the Wearever is.

I owned the Wearever T-Fal set for years.
I needed a new set & jumped on this deal quick.
I have yet to open the box.......lol
As far as I learnt, no T-Fal is to be used with metal utensils and some PLASTIC ones are a bit too hard.
Once the teflon starts to come off you should not use it,could be harmful someone told me.
All I know is everything will stick to that spot................lol

imo, Wearever has one up on T-Fal. At one time T-Fal was top of the line in non-stick cookware. Then other companies started coming out with non-stick that was metal utensil safe. To this day T-Fal still hasn't done this. The Wearever set is every bit as good, if not better than T-Fal. As for never hearing of them before, Wearever has been around forever. When they 1st started they made very inexpensive if not down right cheap (quality) cookware. Over the years the quality of their product has improved vastly.

Yes, I ordered the T-fal but it wasn't for me. I bought a set of the Wearever at Target b&m went it went clearance and kept that one for myself.

NauTika, tell me about it. But you know how some people are, they won't read a whole thread just the last few posts.

Darn, my order was delayed!!!!

Think I will make Amazon cancel and go for the Wearever...are they really as good a non-stick surface as the t-fal?

This is a great deal on pans, whatever brand you go with.

For those interested... I have used both types of pans, T-fal and wearever. I like the T-fal for non-stick and cleaning and the wearever for longevity. I think that the T-fal scratches easier and ultimalely doesn't last as long, but I prefer the T-fal's ability to resist burned on food and it's ease of cleaning. For non-stick I think thte T-fal is better. It is rather sensitive to metal utensils so be carefull.

And for those that are thinking about how long this set of pans will last compared to the wearever, who cares? At $30 if they only last 5 years, then go out and buy a new set. My T-fal is about 7 years old and is showing some significant scratching. I was not super careful about using only plastic utensils. But if I only have to spend $30 every 7 years on pans then I can live with that. Just my 2 cents.

After testing the first set, I ordered second one. For $30 shipped this is the best deal ever!
Thanks,
