I just ordered a cordless phone from them. It said the item usually ships within 24 hours, but when I ordered it, the estimated ship date turned into Dec 9th-12th.

Is this just a huge window they give themselves or should I not expect it to ship for over a week.

You probably picked the free shippnig option. I usually get a week's delay before they ship if I pick free shipping.

I did. I don't NEED it right away, but the phone I have has a dead LCD display. I have to make sure the TV is on (DirecTV) to see who is calling.. haha.


Amazon had this phone for about $20 less than any other place I saw. It was one of those 'We won't show you the price unless you add it to your cart" things. I generally go with buy.com for normal electronics, but not for $21.50 more. Buy.com has a warehouse in Harrisburg, so even ground shipping gets to me overnight or 2 day.



From the "Super Saver" reference, I assume they use FedEx... right?

You get the weeks delay in actual shipping, or in what they estimate? If it is in actual shipping, I wish they would have mentioned that.. I would have thought about paying for shipping.

at the top of the checkout page it says,

I think they are overestimating b.c. they of their volume for the coming weeks. I ordered a DVD player, which wasn't supposed to be delivered until Friday or next Monday, and it's already arrived! The other item I ordered shipped in less than 24 hours, even though their estimate said it would go out for days.

ordered a pc game about 2:35am sunday morning and got an email sunday afternoon at 1:36pm telling me that it had shipped.

The ships in 24 hours is misleading, but once it ships (with free shipping), its usually pretty fast as Amazon has distribution warehouses all over the country now. Don't expect Newegg quality service from Amazon, but typically you can get cheaper prices if you're willing to wait. There are ways to get your item faster, but I guess they border on immoral
