I used to buy a lot, but I stopped once I realized it was a waste of time, money, and effort. Now I simply don't buy a lot of stuff and I use what I already have.

I'm at 14 orders this year. Last year I made 27. I tend to group stuff together so I can get free shipping though, so I rarely place an order for just one item unless it's a big ticket item. Last year I was kinda bad for impulse purchases, I'm a bit better this year so far.

All you guys are easily making (and spending) one hundred times as much as me.
Spent twenty thousand a month?! That's the most I've ever made in a year, when I was working sixty plus hours a week (mid 2000s).

EEhh I buy too much crap from them...

2017 55 orders YTD
2016 52 orders
2015 39 orders
2014 36 orders
2013 83 orders (got prime in 2013 and stopped buying stuff from Newegg, Fry's, Best Buy, etc)
2012 6 orders
2011 15 orders
2010 14 orders
2009 4 orders
2007 5 orders
2006 6 orders
2005 1 order
2003 1 order
2002 5 orders
2001 9 orders
1999 1 order

A lot of the orders are inexpensive things like buying an album or a movie, but sometimes they are a bit more.

I'm on a 40-orders-every-six-months pace.

Last week I placed a 4-item order then followed it up 4 days later with another 4-item order. Today Amazon is finally shipping all 8 items in the same box, 1 week after my first order. Delay like this is why I don't usually order from Amazon directly - I know they are just doing it to be a dick.

Prolly do 50ish orders a year on Amazon. We live out in the country and going to town to get something that can wait to be delivered for free in the next day or two is a time saver.

I've spent upwards of $20,000 per month on personal items from Amazon. Usually I average four figures per month though. But if I'm in a Lego buying frenzy, then all bets are off.

Oh wait, she spent $41,000 per YEAR on Amazon? I thought it was $41,000 per MONTH!

Yeah, she's a lightweight then.

According to my Amazon account, I placed 333 orders last year.

How rich are you?

I've made <50 orders/year for the last 7 years on Amazon, about half was gifts, the rest was some kind of home essential, toiletries, dry goods, whatever.

What the shit is everyone spending so much money on? I feel like I cover all my possible order-able necessities (aside from perishable food) AND hobbies at under 1k/mo, easily.

Damn you guys spend more money on amazon in a month than I have income in a year.

I would argue that while Madoka couldbe very rich, but likely his lifestyle consumes much of his income leaving him with a lot less assets and a lot more liabilities than he would ever admit.

Hey now, I admit it all the time; in fact I just said it yesterday. I'm a spendthrift.

But actually I don't have many liabilities. Most of my utility bills are paid 3-6 years in advance. I have no student loans, car loans, or credit card debt. The only long term debt I have are for two of my homes.

I do have a some assets though. I have equity in three homes and four paid off cars. I have large Lego and gun collections that if I were to liquidate, would pay off both the remaining loans on my homes. Most of my electronics depreciate to nothing, but I do have around 30 computers and 10 large TVs.

Well, I hope you never run into any too big of trouble. You obviously work hard and earn a lot, I hope you manage to keep a lot long into retirement.
