This is a memory upgrade for the DEC Venturis line of Business servers, ran in the 486 to P166 range i believe. They have since beend defunct, but who knows perhaps these are standard Simms. DEC was not known for its compatability and use of readily available parts however

From reading information on the above Digital site, I think this is SDRAM probably PC66, possibly two 16MB SDRAM.

This is for a Compaq (Retired) computer, looks like EDO, for a computer they sold in 1996. Your mileage may vary...

These are $0.64 on another site. Seemed to best be described as sort of a converter from two SIMMs slots to allow a DIMM to be used? Going back aways to try to remember this one.

I think it is one 32MB SDRAM DIMM with chips on both sides of the module, probably PC66. If I'm not mistaken, many PII and Celeron computers running at 66MHz bus speed, plus many socket 7 mainboards, can use this chip. For this price, this deal won't last. Like someone else said, how much can you lose, a few bucks at most.

Well, I don't feel so bad. Both my bro's are in computers--a programmer and a specialist in whatever system Ford uses.....the keychains sound good.

Amazon has been nuts with some of their prices...I now have boxes of 8 cent bungie cords which they shipped practically individually, four 98 cent hammers, eight 98 cent laundry baskets, etc. etc.

One of the coupons is for $10 off $50 in children's books, toys, kids and family videos and DVD's. There is a chance these will work on the PS2 games.

Read the above Compaq pdf file. This is the manual for the Venturis FX2. This computer doesn't take SIMM chips. It takes SDRAM. I think the mainboard chip set was the Intel TX, which definitely had SDRAM support.

When it says "Dual bank" or "Double Sided" it means that there are chips on each side of the PCB. This was because when DIMM style memory was first being introduced, it was dual channel. Meaning that the DIMMs were really 'two' sticks of memory, at least to the computer it was. This style was commonly found on earlier socket 7 motherboards that had DIMM slots and SIMM slots. I believe they corrected it in the TX chipset. I have a motherboard that is a VX chipset, and if you put in single sided memory in it, it will only allocate half of the actual chip.

I'm fairly positive that newer/older motherboards can recognize double sided dimms.
