So there's 3 Kindle Fires now?
Kindle Fire SD 7" $160 = 1024 x 600
Kindle Fire HD 7" $200 = 1920 x 1200 (?) 1280 x 800 (?)
Kindle Fire HD 9" $300 = 1920 x 1200
The $299 9" model is going to be an insane hit.
Will it still have the terrible UI, though?
Only if it had the Google App Store..
Yep 3 different Kindle Fires and I believe the HD 7" has 1920 x 1200 resolution
The best announcement? Multiple user accounts. I hope that means what I think it means, and I wish iOS and Jelly Bean had that.
They didn't mention the resolution for the 7 inch model and 1920x1200 on a 7 inch screen is crazy, they would have definitely shouted that out if it was real. It's got to be 1280x800, that is still "HD".
Yeah I'm surprised Amazon of all companies beat Apple and Google to the punch with this. Very very useful feature that needs to be on all devices.
The only real advantage the iPad and Nexus have is their respective app stores. If we get a stable AOSP Android build for the new Fire... then there's no reason whatsoever to get a Nexus.
Multiple user accounts have been around since XP tablet edition

And all 17 Windows XP Pro Tablet Edition for Tablets users were very excited for the feature. We are talking about the modern definition of tablets.
