One thing which the RAZR-V3 has over the Nokia and Sony-Ericsson models is that it's a quad-band GSM (850/1900 North America & 900/1800 International).
Many of the good phones Nokia currently has in the pipeline are tri-band GSM (900/1800 International & 1900 North America "roaming"). My Nokia 6310i suffers from this. Receiption in rural areas of North America can be somewhat problematic. My old Nokia 6340i suffered the reverse issue in the UK - no 850 support, so poor receiption in the countryside in the UK and Switzerland.
