I had that problem too. I had never used Ofoto before, but I had signed up once before with them, but never used their service.

You need to delete the ofoto cookie on your hard drive, and sign in with a new email address. It should work then.

That amazon guy is a complete idiot. Even their own web page says there is a $25 gift certificate that comes with the free software they send you.

These amazon employees are really getting to be jerks anymore. They gave me a real hassle the previous time when I tried to use some gift certificates. They went through when I placed the order, but later found that someone changed it so none went through, and they gave me a real hassle about applying them to the order again, they didn't want to do it. I got a little snappy at them and demanded they change it back... as they were legitimate gift certificates.

They make mistakes and feel they have every right to not fix it.

I think the GC is specific to cameras and accessories. Here's what's printed on the inside of the cover the CD came in....

Get your $25 gift certificate. Go to www.amazon.ofoto.com/25 to request your gift certificate. You can spend it toward the latest digital camera accessories like card readers, extra memory and battery chargers at Amazon.com.

It doesn't say ONLY camera accessories, etc. but I get the feeling that this is what it means. I'll keep my fingers crossed when i get the GC, though.

Finally got a valid GC code, after some wrangling (due to Ofoto's error). I immediately used it in the Kitchen department, so in my case at least, the GC is definitely NOT limited to cameras and accessories. I suspect it will work for anything.

you have not fulfilled the terms of the agreement, you only uploaded 24 pictures. You
need to upload 1 more. So I did, then I went back, filled out the form and it said
Please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery of the GC.

I just called Ofoto and spoke to Maurice(very nice and polite guy). He told me they ran out of codes since this promotion ended up getting a lot more response than they expected. He checked my account and said I was in there to receive the certificate and that a new batch was due to go out end of this week. Got my fingers crossed.

the story about them running out of GC's seems like a buyable story. i'd wait until next week and see if they come by then, until then there's nothing we can really do. but i'm confident once Ofoto gets their new batch we'll all be smilin' pretty- remember the deal is through Ofoto and not amazon.com, they're just buying the GCs from them.
