Was the $25 gift certificate only good at the Amazon.com Camera and Photo store?

When I go to that gift cert page that prompts for step 4 email address and password, a lot of times it just kicks me to the amazon/ofoto home page.. Other times, I do fill in my email/password, and then it kicks me to the amazon/ofoto home page... So, I guess my question is, what is SUPPOSED to happen when I fill in my email and password on the gift cert page? I'd imagine some sort of "your $25 gc is on its way" message? I've fulfilled the terms of the deal already..

I got my photos back yesterday. I submitted 3 megapixel shots from my coolpix 990.

The prints are amazing! I'm probably going to be a return customer now and get some 8x10 prints.

No word on Amazon GC yet.

Someone said you could only use it in the photo store, however the Amazon.com page does not say that, it says its a Amazon gift certficate, doesn't say anything about limiting where you can spend it.


"For a limited time, new members who upload at least 25 images and order their 25 free prints can earn a $25 Amazon gift certificate. This offer expires on June 30, 2001, is limited to one gift certificate per customer, and is valid for new members only. "


Although with my latest experience with amazon and their gift certificates, they can be extremely picky about what gift certficates you use. Apparently some are considered "promotional" gift certificates and aren't combineable. (even though the stupid certificate doesn't mention anything about "promotional" on it).

my photos came in already too, not a bad deal. the quality's awesome for just $2.50 shipping, even if the GC doesn't come it's still hard to feel ripped off. they look like actual photos, i may have to go back and use it some more later. i hope the GC comes soon though, itching for some DVDs

These look amazing!!! I sent some pics i took with my friend's digital camera, they look at least as good normal film pics. Time to price a nice camera for myself

yea these pics make me want to get a digicam now, the convience factor is just there now for straight pics (they make my HP 970cxi printer look like a dot matrix). they're a little hazier then the originals and a little darker, but that's more the way i scanned them in than anything else.

SinMen - How odd. I sent in 25 pics of my ex-wife, and they are all still up on the ofoto site, and they claim to have shipped the pictures. I haven't received them yet, but they are due in tomorrow or Friday. No Email about "obejectional material".

Maybe you should try again... Or did you send in some really hardcore stuff? I didn't send in Hustler type pictures... just Playboy.

Got my 25 photos today. Surprisingly good quality, and the censors apparently didn't object to the shot of some unknown girl and Ronald McDonald doing a "Bill and Monica" impression.

Just got mine today.

25 nude and semi nude shots, but nothing "hardcore".

Quality was pretty impressive considering that the images were transferred to computer via an old capture card at a low resolution. Ofoto suggested I get wallet size only. Those weren't free though

Now, if the GC would just show up...
