Amazon overworking employees to the point they have to jury-rig the system.

Because they wealthiest man in the world just cant be efficient enough. What amuses me is every single time the villagers come storming the castle with pitchforks and torches, the rich act surprised.
Every god damn time. I wonder if this time it will be people wearing red hats and carrying AR's.
Or will they just bribe a congressman to pass some bullshit law that placates the angry masses?

Did you read it?, these people are using this method to get delivery jobs ahead of others working as independent
delivery people all trying to grab routes.

While shorty is off the mark, I also don't see how this is sticking it to the man either. Someone within the system has a local monopoly on it, which removes revenue from other people. It's basically one group hoarding all the table scraps as it were. The problem being, people shouldn't be getting table scraps in the first place.

Also, this is fucking rich

Amazon, for its part, is investigating the scheme after multiple drivers complained, but it also told delivery drivers that the results of its investigation would not be made available to them.

Amazon in the US.

Not in Sweden, Germany, France or the UK. You made this possible, you wanted this, you voted for this.

And so that is what you have. We voted for workers rights while you thought that was Commie talk. Now we have industry wide unions that ensure that even if there isn't a union for that particular company they are still bound by the same agreements.

Sucks to be American I guess but then again, it's what you wanted, it is what you made happen.

Not what I wanted, nor what I've voted for. Unfortunately, too many others voted opposite. Too many people voting against their own interests.

I would bet that Asian labor has an advantage over American workers because of the difference in cost between rice and meat. I remember a story about Mulla Nasrudin who was in the donkey smuggling trade. The donkeys were eating a lot of his profit so he restricted their diet and just at the point where he had reduced the food bill to practically nothing his donkeys died. Probably the execs at Amazon have read the story and believe themselves to be smarter than the Mulla. There is a difference between donkeys and people, right?

Cool story, except...

Did you read the article?

It has nothing to do with overworked employees.

LOL, I'm amazed at the amount of people commenting without even reading one bit of the link, INCLUDING THE OP!!

Who said it had anything to do with overworked employees. The link didn't have anything to do with overworked employees either. It had to do with how some workers are using a 'phones hung trees' technology to snag delivery jobs before others playing by the rules can get them. What they are doing is just like starving donkeys, stealing their deliveries to increase their own profit.

And please..... Go easy on the insults about my reading ability. I was in the 4 grade before I learned to read. I don't comprehend words by looking at them if I don't turn them into sound. You could hurt my feelings.

Yes, article has nothing to do with over-worked employees. Ironically, it's about a trick certain independent workers are using to increase their workloads...

Actually it's decreasing their workloads by stealing the gigs, having other drivers do the work, but apparently giving them a cut. All they do is intercept the requests and sell them off
