Amazon already shipped (including tax):

- Spigen iPhone case = 12.37
- ViewSonic PJD7828HDL projector = $487.86
- Pride Prejudice and Zombies = $11.98
- Lego TIE Fighter = $137.33 x 2
- Lego Millennium Falcon = $124.25

I spent about $1500 on the sale yesterday, so it was better than last year's for me.

Which of those items are you the most excited about?

My favorite shopping days are Thanksgiving and CyberMonday. Back in the day BF had all the good deals but now stores are trying to out-BF each other. Poor retail workers, eat dinner with family at 12PM Noon, 4PM start their shift at Walmart, BestBuy, Sears probably working 12+ hours.

Wait a sec, no one shops at Sears on BF.

Had Amazon call and say the gift for my daughter was back ordered and they were going to cancel it.

My second IP showed up in a day (last night). I was surprised by how fast it was delivered, and then was immediately disappointed when I got everything out and saw that the power cord was missing. Of course that's not Amazon's fault, but Jesus - that's the most essential thing in the box. If they forgot a spoon or the measuring cup or something ... I can see that. The power cord?! I saw the "QC - Pass" sticker and just laughed.

I keep a box of spare wires/cords/plugs/etc. in my closet and happened to have a spare 3 prong, 3 wire, 12A power cord. It's about 4-5x longer than the one they give you, so I'm not too mad about it. It's not worth complaining to Amazon about even though I know they'd probably send me one because they're awesome. I ran the initial test with the water in it last night and she's ready to go! I'll be doing a few batches of yogurt this weekend in it while doing some pulled pork in the other.

QC pass is the item being tested, not packaging

I got the $10 promo card with $50 GC and now a free $30 GC because they pulled the VISA $30 off $150 after a couple of hours. So $90 of credit for $50. Not bad.

I received that 30 credit myself as they pull that coupon when it was supposed to last all day.

That surprised me, so I went from being irritated to pleasantry surprised.

Amazon is always doing credits (I too took advantage of the gift card $10 promo) - it sounds like they're just printing money as a business at this point.

Whoa! Amazon cancelled one of my orders. That's the first time I've ever had that happen.

My wife bought a bottle of whey protein and asked me to buy more for her on my two accounts. Amazon cancelled one of them. I didn't even know they cared or checked for such things as they've never stopped me before.

That must suck for people who want their own product and are living together if they're just validating by shipping address.

Probably the Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies movie. That I'll likely watch in the next month or so. The other stuff will likely stay boxed for months or years to come.

why would you buy a projector and just leave it in a box?

I still have some nice Sony TVs and an A/V system that I still have in the box for the past three years because they're in one of my homes that I don't often visit. I haven't had time to set them up. The projector will join them there.

Yeah, but I like knowing that I own it. Plus it was pretty cheap. I think I spent something like $2,500-$3000 each on those Sony TVs and $6,000 on that A/V stuff. I'm sure they depreciated a lot more than the total cost of the projector.

And they are worth ten cents on the dollar at most now...

FedEX, Amazon and UPS made deliveries today. After reading this, I opened my IP and was happy to see a power cord.

Didn't see a single thing I wanted, not that I looked that hard. An average day on SlickDeals has better deals.
