amazon prime false advertising

Need screenshots here otherwise you're the first person ever to get an item "fulfilled by amazon" that wasn't sitting in an Amazon warehouse.

The amazon chat customer service rep LITERALLY TOLD ME that some prime items are shipped directly by 3rd party sellers guys. Unfortunately, they don't send transcripts

Are you guys saying I'm just making this up?

Orders don't show prime status. I'm totes willing to show proof, but I don't see how.

They do send transcripts if you request them at the end of the chat...

Orders don't show prime status but it will show us who the seller was, and then we can look at the listing and check out the seller's item on the listing. And if not in stock from that particular item, we can look at other items the seller sells and make an educated decision.

Just a FYI, but they do send chat transcripts when you click the box in the chat window.

I think most here just want you to attach a pic of your order details. You were the one who decided to call it "false advertising". The proof of burden is on you.

Probably PEBCAK.

Most likely: There were both Prime and non-Prime sellers for the item, and preslove chose one of the non-Prime sellers who was not fulfilled by Amazon instead of one who was.

I ordered a prime item. 2 day shipping for 0 dollars.

This is the seller. They clearly are selling prime items. I can upload an invoice with that seller and free 2 day shipping.

So why are you not posting screen shots of the order? Multiple of us are asking for that. Just block out what you don't want us to see.

Can you provide a screenshot of your invoice? Go to your order details and then hit the print or view this invoice button. You can black out any sensitive info. But there should be a line item that says "2 day shipping $0.00".

It may not be definitive proof, but it will at least be evidence that it was a prime eligible item.

However, as far as I know, fulfilled by amazon means amazon will ship it, which is what I've experienced 100% from my hundreds of orders. Thus, your statement of them lying is a bit of a stretch. If anything, this was some kind of glitch/error. Even though a rep told you that, don't always believe them. They make up stuff or say the wrong thing a lot of times.

Just ask for some compensation. I've had them extend my membership by a month a few times due to shipments not arriving in the guaranteed time.

Proof I got it from R&D Corp. If you look to see their other orders, they show up as Fulfilled by Amazon

In the end, I don't know what you're looking for here in this thread. Obviously Amazon isn't "lying" about their prime shipping. If 99.9999999999999% of their orders are shipped correctly, then your one exception proves the rule.

You just need to get some kind of compensation from Amazon and move on.

Exactly. Their FIFA 18 Xbox from R&D is NOT prime, even though another seller of it is. If you go to the FIFA 18 page it says Prime, but only if you choose the correct seller.

For ACTEC, R&D was probably condition = new but NOT prime, just free shipping.

When you click on "other sellers" the Prime no longer applies, except for some of them specifically labeled as prime.

It's possible you won the mislabeled web page lottery and found one incorrectly labeled item out of a billion, but odds are still on PEBCAK.

Edit: It Just Sold And Now Out Of Stock, and now is sold by a different seller. Maybe that's what happened to the OP when he clicked buy. Definitely not false advertising.

Yeah, but it wouldn't be for this seller. Th current page shows a seller and fulfilled by amazon. Fulfilled by Amazon is great, bc it's in their warehouse and goes through their workflow. If it gets lost or is defective, Amazon's great customer service people deal with it quickly and with the benefit of the doubt given to the customer. Using a 3rd party seller to actually fulfill it means that it is far less reliable (this guy hasn't even shipped it!), far less reliable on returns, and less quality customer service. I really don't think they should be considered "prime" items

What I learned from the last time this happened to me is that Prime only means free 2-day shipping. How long it takes to get out their door is not guaranteed by Amazon, unfortunately. For me, it took 1 extra day. The other time many years ago, it was well over a week and they compensated me for the misunderstanding.

So now, if I'm needing something time-sensitive, I have to watch the status throughout the day to see if it's going out soon. If not, I just order a different one (different seller) and return the one that eventually gets there.
