OP, did you or did you not order something from Amazon before you got that bill?

Odds are you accidently signed up for Prime when you ordered something. They make it pretty damn easy to do when you're not a Prime member.

On my non Prime account they have been making the "Free shipping with 30 day Prime trial" the default shipping option for some of my orders. Kinda slimy when you think about it.

Hi guys can you believe this,i never had issues with Amazon til now ,but today i received a bill of 99.00US dollares for Prime membership that i never signed in to,and more weird was that was charged to an Amazon Chase visa card,belonging to my wife that was used one time long time ago to get item discount deal,and then never been used no more,besides that was expired when they used it,i already canceled the membership and they say it will be refund the money i guess to the Chase visa card,but i had to call chase and this was too much hassle,hope they strait this up and do not charge me any extra fees,i already deleted all my cards and if i want to order anything i will pay and will not leave my card info so it makes it easy to order stuff,i will never trust them no more.

Yeah, those usually start last ~2 weeks of December; but based on recent history, nominees tend to converge in those final weeks, partly due to presence within the official nomination thread, which is awesome.

Because of this, I expect the nomination season to start a week earlier each year to further prolong the overall ownage season, as it were. It's AT's version of Christmas sneaking up on Thanksgiving (and now Halloween).

My dad was charged almost $100 for a Norton renewal fee. The problem was he doesn't use Norton anymore. He forgot to cancel and he didn't know how to cancel in the first place. I had to call and described the situation. Luckily, they agreed and gave him a full refund. I think we got lucky because I caught it in the beginning phase. If the payment went thru it might have been a different story.

It got me thinking. How many people are signed up with a service and are being charged yearly. They don't even know about it. What a waste of money.
