Amazon Prime shipping gone to hell?

I don't understand why people equate living in a small town to sub par service when it's quite obvious that a poorly run facility in any sized town is the problem. If your post office, ups or fedex hub is run like shit then expect shit service. If you have terrible delivery drivers on your route then expect sub par service. I order hundreds of packages every year for my businesses and never have any problems. All Amazon shipments go to my house instead of a business address and I believe this year I've had 2 that were 1 day late.

The only complaint that I have is that USPS isn't required to put packages in any kind of plastic bag when the weather is bad. My porch has a large awning that works fine but I'd still like it wrapped in something.

They literally just dump them into a common room which has a leak when it rains. They just put the packages in the water and walk off.

I have gone years and years without issues with 2 day shipping, but that mostly came UPS/FedEx and sometimes a last mile carrier. However since they've gone to USPS, it seems that 1 out of 4 shipments doesn't make it on time. Anyone else that's a Prime member having issues with USPS?

Yes, Amazon's 2 day shipping has consistently been late for me. With and without Prime.

Ordered an Xbox One S at lunch on Sunday via cell phone. Got the estimated delivery date for Prime as being Wednesday. Then the next morning changed to Thursday. I held my tongue and it came today. No complaints.

Now, if my primary care doctor's office was like this there would be no complaints. On the other hand, I am always disappointed in the medical community.

For those of you experiencing shipping times longer than those you paid for through prime, something that has always worked for me is to open a chat with an amazon rep, explain the situation, and ask for a month off your prime membership or a $5 to $10 credit towards your next purchase. I've never been turned down but have only done it 4 or 5 times.

Yes, Prime shipping is often late now, especially this time of year (so much for all the fancy warehouse automation). I just placed an order that was due tomorrow. So I go to Amazon's page to check - and it says arriving Friday the 9th - ON TIME. Well, how awesome if you are Amazon. Check out can say one thing and then a quick update of your account and they are 'on time'. It's good to be King.

They tell you two days when it is often more. If a customer doesn't make a big deal about it, good. And if they do, throw em' a pittance. I'm sure the math shows overall it's cheaper to break the two day promise and occasionally reimburse someone in a small way then to meet the target every time.

Sorry, but you people must live in BFE. I've ordered items at 8-9pm and had them shipped the same day. I think I've had a total of 2-3 packages not arrive on time. I think it was last year or the year before when UPS had some issue and items were held up. Not a fault of Amazon though. Otherwise, I always get my packages in 2 days. I've used PrimeNow a few times and it's amazing. Ordered something one night at almost midnight and had it delivered at 9am the next morning, lol.

I've ordered 84 (not including multiples of same order) items this year. That doesn't include what my wife has ordered. It also doesn't count what I've ordered for work. Yeah, we use Amazon way too much, lol.

Dudes. If you're Prime shipment shows up late, you're entitled to an additional free month of Prime. I think it works for up to 3 additional months.

I tried it last week, and it's true. I got an extra month. Wish I had known sooner. Other packages have been late this year...
